Rockenbach Chevrolet Scammed me into buying new vehicle i couldnt finance by myself Grayslake Illinois
I must say I've never been scammed so bad in my life. First of all i went to rockenbach chevrolet cause they said they could help me finance a vehicle since i have bad credit. Well they showed my three banks that would help but ofcourse there are catchs. They either wanted a huge down payment or co-signer.
Well i didnt have either one of those. So, They told me about some bank that does a secured buyer's add on... and put the co-signer on for 8 to 10 payments and than you can finance it yourself. and if i missed a payment that they wouldnt come after him.
Well, i said that is great idea. So i searched for one and when i did.. they offered him a 2000.00 dollar shopping spree online and 500 dollars cash for helping me. Well that sounded like a great deal right?
Well, IT was a scam to get my co-signer to sign when from the beginning he really didnt want to. Than the whole online shopping spree was filled with like 15 items that u would buy in the store that was garbage and u had to pay for shippin and handling. Well , we didnt find that out till after we go home.
We went the finance office and signed papers and my co signer wasnt there so i only signed the papers and my co signer was going to come the next day. Well they had me sign a different contract with different numbers and said this is proof of purchase incase u get pulled over by the cops. and ofcourse i signed it.
Not knowing that what i was really doin was signing another contract and if my cosigner doesnt come in and signs that my payments would be almost double and a outrageous interest rate that i cant afford!!!
And they wont take the vehicle back cause i signed that other contract not knowing that i was going to be stuck with that high payments... i will never ever buy a vehicle from again and wouldnt recommend anyone on going there!!!!

How long ago did you purchase the vehicle? My advise, first get your copy of the contract and compare it to the copy sent to the lender. I would bet a dime to a dollar they have altered the contract and scammed you in other ways as well. Get a lawyer and contact the Illinois Attorney General. What that dealer did was illegal. Auto dealer fraud is running out of control. These crooks need to be exposed. I am in the process of going after one myself. DO NOT GIVE UP AND DO NOT LAY DOWN AND GO AWAY. YOU NEED TO DO WHATEVER IT TAKES TO TAKE THEM DOWN.
