Complaint Review: Roger's Auto Body Wind N Sea Towing - San Diego California

I am one of many victims of this fraudlent shop and its crime racket.

Wind N Sea Towing is owned by Rody's brother - he is clearly running a ring preying on accident victims using his brothers towing company to strong arm them into his body shop.

Rody promised he would fix my car in four weeks and was super persuasive for me to keep my car at his shop, contrary to the advice from the insurance company. He was paid $20,000 by my insurance company.

Fast forward six months. A private investigator calls me telling me my lender can't recover the veichle or get updates. Rody "found more damages" and wants ANOTHER $20,000 and the investigators said parts that were BILLED FOR BY RODY WERE NOT INSTALLED ON THE CAR BUT MY INSURANCE COMPANY WAS SURE CHARGED FOR THEM.

Myself and Rody were sued by Mercedes Benz because he could not give up the car or any information on it. They described him as an irrational drug addict that would not cooperate - he could not produce any invoices, photos, or information on the status of the car and its repairs.

Fast fowrard another six months. The car has not been returned and I have a $90,000 judgement on my credit do the deplorable condition of the car and poor work by Roger's Auto.

My $120,000 car was auctioned off for a mere $20,000 because of the hack repair job and year and a half of delays by Rogers Auto Body.

Well, since others are having issues I suppose its time to write my story about this nightmare shop. I was involved in a rear ender on the 163.  The shop has had my car for a year as of this review. Here are the details:

A guy named Rody Moshy owns the place. His brother owns a towing company called Wind N Sea Towing (owned by Raed Moshe) who preyed on me after an accident. The guy took advantage of my stress situation and got me to allow him to leave the car at his "friends" shop who does "great work." That was absolutely not the case.

Fast forward 6 months later - I get a call from a private investigator - the car is not fixed and the lender cannot recover it. My lender proceeded to sue me and his shop because of his refusal to cooperate and show any progress, photos, or invoices on the car....or just return the it fixed.  Apparently he just tells the attorneys how he owns and fixes bentleys blah blah...complete nonsense and totally unreasonable. Rody makes bull excuses to me in text messages

Once I finally saw the car in person ...he's been slacking and blowing my insurance company's money. The employees knew nothing, they just told me "well it runs and just needs some paint" that was like... 3 months or so ago! The receptionist said she had no access to any records.

This 120k car has depreciated an entire year in value and then some because of Roger's complete disregard and abuse of my insurance company's money. Every payment I've made on the car has been reversed in fees. It doesn't take a year to fix any car. What was already a difficult financial situation has been made 1000x worse by Rogers.

UPDATE  - Rody refuses to return the car. There's a court hearing tomorrow against him.

Update again - The court ruled against Rody, however he STILL won't return the car....He has had my car for a year. He doesn't care or have any desire to right the situation whatsoever. You've been warned!
