Complaint Review: Ron Mason - Leederville Internet

This a letter sent to the man in question it explains all of our frustrations.

We have just received an updated freight cost as Broome Freightlines were unable to honor  the original quote that you organised with them dated 10/12/2009 as the dimension and weight are nothing like  what you had them quote for.

Which has more than quadrupled the freight cost from approx $400.00 to just under $2000.00.

When I originally agreed to purchase your annexe it was subject to freight cost, when I asked for the  dimensions and how many panels ,  you offered to liase with Broome Freightlines on my behalf as you had the annexe  dimensions. The dimension you gave  them was far from the truth and much more than a slight under estimate on your part ie; weght being 80kg where it is 520kg and to be delivered in 14 panels.

On Friday the 26/02/2010 you called me to inform me that you were delivering the side panels as whole side pieces not dismantled, at the time I informed you that it would be unacceptable and they needed to be dismantled.

This whole saga has been extremely distressing as you have endeavored to lie and evade my phone calls ever since I paid you for the annexe on the 11/12/2009.

I gave you the benefit of doubt due to Xmas and new year and you cataract surgery and many other excuses you would come up with. Then by the beginning of February I had to constantly call you, which you saw as harassment.

At different times my Husband and Son were in Perth and offered to assist with the transportation  of the annexe to Broome Freightlines, but you always evaded them and when we asked to be able to pick up the annexe and deliver it ourselves to Broome Freightlines  you refused to tell us where it was and denied us access to the annexe.

The annexe was advertised in the quokka for $2000.00 17 foot,  you asked for a further $500.00 for dismantle and delivery to Broome Freightlines which we agreed to, but you did not dismantle suitable for transportation hence blowing out the freight cost.

A copy of this letter is being posted to Kitchener rd, Alfred Cove. As I know you have difficulty with email.

I hope you can see reason to reimburse us for the extra cost of excess freight you have caused, as  this could have been avoided if you had co operated with us and been truthful.

I see a sum of $1400.00 to be a fair amount.

Had you been honest with us we wouldn't have entered into this purchase due to the freight cost which you knew was our concern from the beginning, we can now see how you lied about the dimension to Broome Freightlines to get us a quote in our budget.

I have attached copies of quote and final invoice.

I hope you can be reasonable and avoid this matter going to court.

We can either  discuss this matter between ourselves or,

I have been in contact with Melissa ph; 93254217 from Legal Aid in Perth. She can organise Mediation between us to settle this.

Or the next step is to go to court.

We have now just received the annexe which is nothing as described, it looks as though it has sat in the horse paddock for six years,  you had assured me I was getting a very good annexe .

When I asked for photos of the annexe you assured me that a photo was not necessary as it was a SIX YEAR OLD ANNEXE IN GOOD CONDITION.

IF WE DON'T GET SATISFACTION FROM YOU. THIS LETTER + PHOTOS OF THE HEAP OF s**t YOU HAVE SENT WILL BE GOING ON DISPLAY AROUND LEEDERVILLE AS PUBLIC  NOTICE WARNING AS OF YOUR DECEITFUL  BUSINESS MANNER.

The Quokka has been advised of this matter and an alert has been put against your name and all of your phone numbers.

The TV stations are also going to be involved with this matter if we don't get resolution.
