Ronnie Haran Mellen Santa Barbara Location Services LLC Ronnie Haran Mellen 2435 Sycamore Canyon Road, Santa Barbara, CA RONNIE MELLON is dishonest, unscrupulous and positively psychotic. HORRIBLE WORK ENVIRONMENT -- Feudal system, insulting, abusive, probably illegal Montecito, California
RONNIE MELLON is dishonest, unscrupulous and positively psychotic. She ranks as the # one WORST employer I have ever had. She has no conception of real work practices and treats he employees like SLAVES and servants. I was employed to sort out her chaotic filing system and input the data into her (primitive) computers, but ended up having to take her dogs to the vet in my car, on my gas, deliver them to her house, run errands all over town at my expense, was constantly being interrupted for nonsense things that she could not remember for herself, do accounting because she couldn't do it, play secretary, and LIE TO CLIENTS on her behalf. In the computer which ostensibly held her location files, I found several megabytes of pornography (which I deleted) put there apparently by the previous guy who spent his time elsewise than doing her dirty work. SHE IS ABUSIVE and thinks that just because she pays you minimum wage, she is entitled to brow beat you with insults, nasty language and downright INHUMANE behavior.
I would caution anyone seeking a job in the creative community to steer clear of her and her EXTREMELY UNPROFESSIONAL behavior. This woman is dangerous to your wellbeing. I believe she has violated several labor laws, persistently over time. At the time I worked there, she had "been through" 280 prior employees in about four years. I am sure it is far greater now. Some girls I met who had been her "secretary" left in tears, having been insulted and beaten down to a pulp.
STAY AWAY FROM THIS WOMAN !!
Do this for your own sanity. Look elsewhere for employment. The Dark Ages are long past; there is no reason to continue the feudal system in this day and age. Save yourselves -- RUN.

I have personally known and worked with Ronnie Mellon for over five years in different capacities. I started out working in the office in 2007 where I worked in the photo department. I worked in the office both full and part-time; we worked out a schedule that accommodated my college classes. Ronnie and I kept a solid relationship over the next couple of years where I served as a scout and a production assistant as needed. I recently returned to work for her in an IT position when she needed some extra help this past summer.
Ronnie has worked hard to establish and maintain the solid thirty-year reputation that her company has. Unfortunately, throughout the years, I have seen various individuals come in and take advantage of the work that she has done. Additionally, I have witnessed on multiple accounts, underachievers pretending to be skilled with database and computer knowledge, essentially taking the opportunity to scam her and dramatically overcharge and under work for unnecessary services that end up hurting her more than helping her. These erroneous claims are unfair and come from people without work ethic or integrity.
The reason Ronnie has been in business for thirty years is due to the fact that she is not afraid of hard work, does not take advantage of others, and never makes a promise she does not keep. I would not take the time to defend somebody just because I like them, I would however feel bad if I watched a lie destroy an honest success and legacy. Those interested in working for Santa Barbara Locations should not be dissuaded by the ranting of disgruntled former employees making up vicious lies as a method to vindicate their own lack of worth ethic that led to their dismissals. If you are a person who truly knows Ronnie Mellon you don't even need to read this article to agree, but if you're a young opportunistic perspective then I could understand why you might seek to destroy the work of somebody you couldn't compete with.
