Ron's Automotive Center Inc. $925 phony estimate for a leaking gas line Litchfield Connecticut
Brought in my Suburban to repair a leaking gas line. They tokk the truck and gave me an estimate of $925 to replace the gas tank and sending unit. This was not the problem. They then tried to charge me a half hour labor to diagnose the problem.
I pointed out that their sign clearly states that estimates were $25. I paid the $25 just to get out of there. Took the vehicle down the street and had the line replaced by an honest shop. Problem fixed took an hour. Ron's Automotive Center is looking to scare people who aren't knowledgeable about cars into having expensive unnecessary work done.
