I live in Indiana and at the end of February 2015 I purchased a motorcycle from Rosenau powersports http://www.rosenaupowersports.net/inventory/used 24732 Ford Rd, Dearborn Heights, MI 48127 based on assurances that the motorcycle had been thoroughly inspected and approved. The motorcycle was delivered and the body was in very bad condition. It was cold so I started it, let it warm then rode it around the block with no issues. I requested the written inspection from my salesperson on two separate occasions with no reply.
A month later, after I had purchased a new body kit and installed it, I rode 7 miles to work. On the way home the brakes failed completely and I was almost badly injured when I could not stop the bike. Got the bike home and found out that the brakes had not been serviced. Further inspection showed a faulty stator, and the front tire was bald. I contacted the GM Carl Mason and Sales Manager John Rasmussen to ask for reimbursement of expenses to properly fix the bike of $1,000.
I was told that a decision would be made and that I would be contacted.
That has not happened. I have filed complaints with the States Attorneys office and the Better Business Bureau but still no word from Rosenau. At this point I am open to legal options.
The website clearly states that
Every approved pre-owned motorcycle we offer has undergone a strict wheel to wheel 46 point technical inspection by one of our certified technicians. And we will provide our inspection to any customer upon request.
In my e-mails the GM admits that things were missed in the inspection, I have copies of our conversation.
In reviewing the Buyers Order it states that I was charged for said Safety Inspection.
