On Sat 06/19/04 I went to Roseville Chrysler with my Brother. I agreed to purchase a 2000 Dodge Caravan with 58,863 Miles on it only if they would fix the air conditioner and they said they would. They sold this van to me for $10,149.57. I have now discovered the Kelly Blue Book Retail value in excellent with a working Air Conditioner is only $5,110.00 and Trade in is $2,300.00.

I took the van in to fix the AC on 6/24/04. They said they fixed the leak and 2 of the 3 major components in the Air Conditioner. The air worked for the few remaining hot days of summer. When the next summer came I turned on the air and and it was not working again. I called Roseville Chrysler and they told me to bring it in.

When I got there they told me I had to pay $129.00 for a diagnostic. I told them I would not because the AC was suppose to be working for my purchase agreement. They told me I had to pay the diagnostic fee & if it was something they had fixed they would not charge me any more to fix it but if it was something new I had to pay for it. I said no and took it to an independent and was told that no new major components were installed. They recharged it about the same thing chrysler did and it worked for a couple months.

Roseville Chrysler deceived me by falsely fixing the AC so I would purchase this van. As far as Im Concerned the contract should be defaulted because of this.

On 2/11/05 at 64,779 miles my Instrument panel was not working. I took the van into chrysler repair. They did a diagnostic test on it and said they did not know what the problem was but they cleared and reset the codes and it seemed to be working now. I had to pay $117.00 for the no result diagnostic test. I believe I should not have had to pay anything for a manufacturing defect.

In November 2005 I received a safety recall letter for a clock spring, where the instrument panel malfunctions. I believe thats what happen to mine.

As if this was not bad enough on thurs. 12/06/05 with 71,000 miles and my ownership of this piece of junk for only 1 year and 5 months the linkage and gears to the transmission shot out onto the road while driving 15mph. Thank goodness I was not going down the highway at 60 mph or we would be dead.

I had the van towed to my home where it sits. I paid on my loan $5140.69 to drive a van with no AC for 12,137 miles for 1 year and 5 months.

I did not contact chrysler to fix the transmission because I do not want another defective transmission put in. I have read many articles and reports on chrysler mini van transmission problems including consumeraffairs

and Rip-off reports. I have learned that the dodge Caravan Transmission has a notorious rate of failure. They are clearly defective. I am not paying another cent on this worthless piece of junk. I will take my money back, or a decent vehicle at the right retail value to sell.

If you were concerned about the price, why did YOU AGREE to buy it at the said price?

Did you buy this car with a warranty or "AS IS"?  You would have signed a disclosure statement indicating and explaining that matter.  If you bougt it "AS IS" why are you entitled to free warranty service?

Since your report is almost TWELVE years old, one must question your intent and question the truthfulness of it.

NO RIPOFF HERE -- Complainer agreed to the price.  Complainer expects free service when not entitled to free service.  Complainer appears to be making defamatory statements for surreptitious purposes.

I work for Roseville Chrysler Jeep Dodge Ram and manage their online reputation.  Please remove the complaint against Troy Greer immediately.  Mr. Greer was merely the finance manager in the acquistion of the accuser in this matter.  Not only is this matter nearly 10 years old but the complaint is about services performed or not performed by the service department.  If the complaintant would like to rebut her complaint with accurate information about the correct parties involved, that would be fine, but I would like Troy Greer removed from any and all parts of this post.

Not only is this slander but also defamation of character and needs to be dealt with accordingly.  Please remove and respond back to me within 48 hours or I will take legal action in order to resolve this matter.  Thank you.
