In August 2003, a young man named Derek Agent # 6069 called me at work and offered me a credit card with a maximum credit line of $2,500.00. I had been getting calls like this several times each week and so certain questions popped into my mind. I asked Derek if this was an unsecured card and I was told yes. Within a week they had debited my account for the amount of $296.00, purportedly the fee to get the card.

Almost a month later I received a packet in the mail - no credit card, just a bunch of paper that I had no interest in and an offer to apply for the credit - after all the fees that would be taken off I would not have any credit left on the card. I called the company and returned the information to them.

The young lady I spoke with, in response to my question as to how long it would take for my refund stated that "it depends on how soon you get the packet to us ma'am, the longer you take, the longer we take". On September 11, 2003, I returned the packet, certified, return receipt. They signed for it on September 18, 2003. Since that date I have called several times about my refund.

Each time I have been told that either the packet was not received by the credit company or the bank was delayed in making payment. Last week I was told that the Bank was making all payments by November 26, 2003. I called again today, November 24, 2003 to find out if this payment is still on scheduled and was told I had to call my bank to have the money paid back. I am so mad, I could cry. Please help me get my money back.
