Hear Ye, Hear Ye! All tourists to Mexico be advised...Contracts signed in Mexico can be broken! But, you only have 5 days to do it.

Our experience with Royal Holiday occurred in Cancun,Mexico. To make a very long story short, we were fed all kinds of promises and we eventually made the fatal mistake of believing what we were being told. After signing on the dotted line for about $20,000, we did what we should have done before, we read the "fine print". Guess what, the promises made by the slick salesman were not supported by the contract. Significantly, the contract also specifically stated that it could not be reconsidered or broken. Here's the important thing...We did break the contract and our credit card company was reimbursed. Here's why and how.

Mexico has a law that allows parties 5 (five) days to reconsider such (I believe all) contractual agreements....no matter what "they" try to tell you. The trick is getting to "Profeco" (the Mexican gov't. agency that handles such disputes) before five business days is up.

Bottomline: If you have a weak "contract signing" moment in Mexico, don't wait...Get to the nearest Procuraduria Federal Del Consumidor (Profeco) office. (There is one located in downtown Cancun.) "Profeco" (and "clear thinking") are the enemies of slick scam artists.

It is always best to hire someone skilled to do so, unfortunately in most cases these companies dedicated to cancel timeshares usually cheat for the second time to their customers since they are vulnerable and desperate. If you are thinking of hiring them you just have to make sure you do not have to make any payment upfront ... I found these articles that speak precisely about this, you should read them, that might help you to resolve many doubts:

I hope you can solve your problem, good luck!
