First of all did you get the pay off total amount and if you did do you still have a copy of the check with the amount or amounts adding up to it with there bank cashed stamp on it? Do you have a copy of the agreement from them for the amount owed and settled amount owed? Also make sure no one else owns the account and is trying to double collect from you sometimes one collection agency will sell it to another or trade it off to another collection agency but they are owned by the same person. Always be sure to get a letter first stating the total payoff amount and the letter should say that after the amount is paid, the that the account will be closed and removed or show payed and closed on your credit. When you returned the truck are you saying it was a inv.repo? And are they asking the money for what reason?
