S & W HOME APLLIANCE ripoff said cost 0 to see, charge $65 did nothing, lied, then sent bill with 24% interest Staunton Virginia
First I call them after calling four other places-all other places wanted at least $30 to $35 to come to house and look at problem and then would take off bill like most do. I call S & W they tell me it is nothing to come and look, so I say to myself I will go with them. My dryer was broke-could not fix-motor hummed-I knew this as I am HVAC Specialist.
The guy comes and says dryer motor shot- I said I know that is not why I brought you here. Then we precede to washer which was dancing all over floor- I knew legs needed to be adjusted but hurt my back and cannot left anything. The guy leaves-does nothing. I get bill in mail for $65 saying they told me on phone they charge that amount to come and check anything. If so, why would I choose one that costs $65 when I had at least four that said $30-$35 and would take off bill that amount when fixed.
The S & W Home Appliance sent a bill for $65. it was typed like a credit card and had 24.9% interes on it and all. This was a joke. They did nothing and charging us this money like a credit card would charge you. When I called and told them they never said anything about this $65 fee-they told me they said it right in beginning when talking to me-I would never have went to them, I would have paid another company $30 to come as basic fee and then when they adjusted legs on washer-I would have probably just owed that $30 for coming out. However this company S & W are saying they got lawyers and will take us to court to make us pay for something I never agreed-let alone something they done-which was nothing. They are a disgrace to bsinesses and PLEASE check them out. Phone and see if they say anything about a $65 fee to come to home. I am not stupid and would pay $65 for something I could get for $30 and I did not even get anything for $65. Please Help. Thanks
