Safety Technology Aka Unique Worldwide Services ripoff dishonest money making scheme used me to make money for the "owners" Tuscaloosa Alabama
I was needing a job badly. I called an ad in the paper. I was told that I would know by the end of the interview if I had been hired, and that I would need to bring $100 for a background check. I was told the background check was because I would be handling a large sum of money through my office.
At my interview I was hired. I gave Mike Jenkins, the office manager, my initial $100. I was given a reciept and was told that I would be given a $1500 sign on bonus after going through the training. I was also told that I would need to bring $75 to my first training day which would cover the cost of my "equipment" and study booklet.
I was so eager to find work that I gave them the money. Soon after I began my training I noticed that things around the office just did not seem to add up. I never saw any sales people; there were only the manager trainees and the manger that got paid to train us. The manager made promise after promise about how the company would be great to work for and all the money that we will be making. The meetings were every day for several hours. We took notes and were told to memorize different ways to hire our new office workers; everything was written in a script form that was to be memorized. I feel like such a fool...I have always been leery about scams...and now I am a victim myself. I could have used the money I invested in this scam on more important things.
