If you are going to bash a company, at least get your facts straight.
The prices you quoted in your so called "research" are Safety Technology's suggested retail prices, not wholesale. If anyone wants to see our wholesale prices, you can access them online at www.safetytechnology.com/onlinecatalog.htm.
Also, Safety Technology does not compete with its distributors. We've been doing this for 27 years. Its so easy to get mad at the owner of a company then slam the company online, anonymously, and with lies. Safety Technology has never ripped anyone off.
Now, am I rude to people and say or do things that make me an a*****e to some? Of course! After doing this for so long, I do not believe the customer is always right. I do not always turn the other cheek. I have fired customers in the past. Does it piss them off! Yes! Then, feeling frustrated, they head online and say whatever they want without any consequences.
But, worse than that are all the people who believe them. They don't think that in their desire to hurt me, they may hurt my company, including the innocent people who work there.
It makes sense for someone researching a company before they do business with them. But, don't let some angry, frustrated ex-customer, totally decide for you. Use your common sense...in business for 27 years, A+ rating with the Better Business Bureau, thousands of happy distributors, the largest drop ship wholesaler of self defense products, hidden cameras and surveillance systems in the country.

I think the op may have a point. I did a little research and compared the so called wholesale pricing to the same items on Amazon. The results:
Mace pepper baton keychain Amazon 31.99, ST 35.00
Tear gas double-action Michigan approved Amazon 12.95, ST 15.95
Ajax diversion can safe Amazon 11.46, ST 21.95

I have just opened my own online store for self defense products and security cameras with the help of Safety Technology. I am very pleased with the company, the owner, and everything to do with the company.
They have been a pleasure to work with and I am learning a lot from them about how to run my new business. I am grateful for the opportunity I have been given to own my own self defense products and security cameras business.
My husband and I are so excited about getting our new business off the ground and to have the opportunity to help save lives here in Florida with the crime rates on the rise.
Thank you Safety Technology for your wonderful opportunity and services!

After reading your issues, I checked in with the National Better Business Bureau to validate yours and others who may have had problems with this company. What I found was that Safety Technology is currently a member of the BBB and that they have an A+ rating with only 6 complaints which have all been statused as "resolved". As such, it makes one wonder, if you have issues with this company, why you have not filed a complaint with the BBB. If I were interested in doing business with Safety Technology, I think that I would tend to place more confidence in the BBB rating than one individuals personal issues.

Well I see your point of view. I think it usually subsides around 8th grade though. I am a customer of Safety Technology. I do not have the money to purchase the website, however, I do purchase from them to resell. I do not know what business classes you have attended (probably none) but that is the way things work. Someone makes a product (the manufacturer). They sell it to someone else (safety Technology) FOR PROFIT. Then that person usually sells it to someone else (Me) FOR PROFIT. Then that person sells it to someone else FOR PROFIT then (my sustomers) Purchase the products. I do not know how the internet sites work, however, I can gaurantee MY MARK UP averages 50% of my investment. So if you think you are being "ripped off" because safety technology does not sell you the products he buys for the same price he pays then you have a misunderstanding of business. As for the person thinking about investing if you can afford it I would. In fact at the rate I am going I will have the money in about three months to pay for my website ALL BY SELLING THESE PRODUCTS MYSELF. I have only had issues with one product and I am in the process of returning it (honestly I don't think the product would have been bad if the US Mail had not smashed the box up). Just my two cents.

Hi, I'm trying to decide if I want to invest with Safety Technoologies. I'm researching, looking to find out about Mr. Gravette and his company. I am undecided, but your complaint doesn't really make a difference to me. I'm impressed with the products, the company, etc. Although I don't like some of his marketing (showing you pics of his house, etc, telling you about their cars), I suppose that is necessary for some people. In your example, the mark up is about right, but you DON'T pay for the shipping; the customer does that (or you add shipping to the price). I'm still undecided. But calling the guy names doesn't give you any credibility. Of course, the other guy on here has a letter worse than yours. JK Tallahassee, FL
