Saint Matthews Churches Deceptive Religious Mailings Tulsa Oklahoma
I found out pretty quickly that these mailings complete with prayer rugs, crosses, sacred coins etc.., and all the requests for prayers and scripture twisting ts to quit sending to me. I never solicited them, they somehow got my name and mailing address. However, having a solid foundation in the bible and scripture and a member of a very good parish, I though about the many people who are being targeted that may believe their rubbish. In a nutshell they are promising big o show how you would be financially blessed by sending THEM tithes was a scam.
I tore up their literature and sent their icons back to them with instructionfinancial gain if you will follow their instructions, putting a purple piece of paper under your pillow; coins in your shoes, etc., and of course being a 'seed faith partner'.
They are reducing God's holy word to a magic potion and nothing more. They even send testimonial letters complete with supposed stories of people who did their bidding and received unexpected money! After I thought about it, I could not in good conscience allow them to do this without speaking out on my part. DO NOT SEND THEM ANY MONEY.
If you are hurting, needy, grief-stricken, etc.., seek out an established local church, any church. (I am Catholic, but any Christian bible believing church will do) Ask for their help, direction and prayer. You will be amazed at what a body of believers will do to help you. Then study the scriptures for yourselves and LEARN God's word. You will see that nowhere, and I mean nowhere, does Jesus say anything about your material gain!!
In fact, the first thing he asked of the disciples was to give up EVERYTHING and the early church shared everything in common. (Read the book of ACTS).
