Tell us has your experience with this business or person been good? What's this?
On Nov 2012, Salt River Solar entered into a 20-yr lease agreement with me for an 11.6Kw solar system to be installed on my house. I paid half of the agreed upon upfront lease price (Approx $3,900) with the other half payable upon successful installation and approval for service by APS. The agreed upon completion period was Jun/Jul 2012. The original completion period was not met and SRSW extended my delivery date to Oct 2012, due mainly to their inability to be paid by the US Treasury department for government grants associated with solar installation. SRWS again failed meet their contracted delivery date of Oct 2012 stating again that the US Treasury was withholding their grants and therefore limiting their availability to purchase raw materials to fulfill their outstanding contracts. I sent two demands letters requesting a refund for "breach of contract" both received and acknowledged by the company either thru email and personal delivery. On 16 Nov 12, I personally spoke to Mr. Tim Precourt (Company Owner) and requested a refund of my deposit. He stated that the company did not have the cash capital to refund me my deposit and that SRSW had every intent of fulfilling their contracts but could not give a definitive date on when that may happen.  SRSW keeps stating that they have not received their grants from the Federal Government but as of 10 Aug 2012, the company has received over $3.9 million in grant money (See the US Treasury website and type 1603 grants).   There is NO TRUER DEFINITION for RIPOFF....take the money and provide noting in return.
