I have had a Salute Visa card account for nearly a year and made all payments ontime. When I went to pay off the credit amount for an out of state trip they screwed me over. I paid the account online since I wanted the account paid off before the trip.

At the same time I paid another of my credit cards also online for the same reasons. When I inputed the information I made sure to put the bank account information in correctly and copied/ pasted the information from one website to the next. After a couple of weeks I tried to find out why my account had not been paid and mirracously I had made the mistake of inputting my bank account information.

Strangely the other credit card had no problem accessing my account to get the money to pay off the balance at the same time on that card. When I contacted Salute to find out what had happened not only were they rude they told me it was my fault entirely.

They canceled my card and then moved to immediately report my card account as unpaid. I have been making payments on this account since then to prevent this, but it is too late.

This company does anything it it's power to prevent it's cutomers from paying off their debt. The company cannot keep charging it's customer outrageous interest rates if the customers do not have any debt on their account any more.

I want everyone out there to be made aware of this company and the fact that they will do anything to keep from having their customers clear their debt. Beware if you are looking into doing business with this company they may take advantage of you next!
