To Whomever it may concern,
In regards to Sam Goldwitz and his company Watchus, Inc. as well as the comments made on this website I wanted to add a few details from my experience as an ex-contractor of this company.
During the course of 2 months of working with Watchus, Inc. and their sister company "Sam and Nan" the frustrations of working with the owner Sam Goldwitz were present from the start. He lacks the knowledge of fundamental web standards and would refuse to listen to advice any non-owner provided. My time spent there mainly involved web development and IT support. I helped develop his website samandnan.com as well as many other aspects of their IT infrastructure. The working contract was thankfully short as I left explaining I could not work there any longer.
Some of the wrongdoings that were present at his company would make other company owners such as I doubt his ethics. I witnessed the owner mistreat his employee by verbally putting them down claiming they were untrustworthy and incompetent. He mislead sub-contractors such as i into what quickly became a very stressful work environment.
As a warning to future consumers, contractors be careful when dealing with this individual. I myself was asked to file 80 page reports aimed against contractors such as AtWoodz and others in conjunction with credit card disputes. He has a habit of hiring contractors and then finding reasons not to pay. While working there a photographer was in the process of filing a small claims case against him for failing to pay for her artwork. Today, I am in the process of filing my own small-claims case against the company and the owner for failing to pay past due invoices since Nov/Dec of 2013.
The company which may lead others to believe is a huge manufacturer of their products they are in fact a small office in Derby, CT with one employee and the owners Sam & Nancy. Their charms are manufactured by another company. They portray themselves to be fair and honest but from my experience this has not been the case although others may have had different experiences I feel as though they are one in a dozen.
These are solely my expressed opinions about the company and the only recommendations I make is that you be mindful when doing business with them. He is very friendly at first but can quickly escalate to a difficult situation.
