The policy is, if you purchase an extended warrenty then, yes you need to contact the warrenty people. The tractor is under a limited time warrenty through Sam's club. However, if the limited is up then follow the correct steps!.. Read the warrenty information that is available at the club.

yeah, I also work at the Sam's club in Green Bay. I'm a COS, and I have been with the company for many years. I have seen a refund on a product that had been over 5 years old. In fact last week we had a member come into the club with a television that they had bought in 97 and the picture in the television went out. They said that they were unsatisfied with the quality of the product and wanted a Refund of the Television and of there membership. remember if you refund your memebership which you can have done it does hurt the company seriously, that is what they depend on. Our manager didn't want to give the guy ther refund of the television at first but once the guy said that he would keep his membership as long as her would excange the television for a new one he would be fine. So our manager did. You try to do that at any other store and you will get laughed at. Sam's has a 100% return policy and they need to stick to it or the General Manager could loose his job due to not complying with corporate policies.

Ken: You are just not being tough enough. I have seen Sam's give a refund on a push type power mower that was at least 5 or 6 years old because the customer wouldn't take no for an answer and wanted to talk to corporate headquarters right from the store. Think about it. You bought the warranty from SAM'S CLUB. You paid for it at SAM'S CLUB!! SAM'S CLUB sold you a defective mower AND a defective warranty. They should make it right. One more tip. Don't mess with customer service-demand to see the store manager-if he is not there don't take your problem up with anyone else, find out when he is working and go back. Good Luck.

John, I did go back to the store.. they informed me that I should take it up with the extended Warranty People.. I have tried to do it as I have been instructed, by their rules... And the last person I talked to, "Jamie" was very rude and had a attitude that was not customer friendly... Your suggestion didn't work in Indiana...

What's wrong with you man? I worked for Sam's Club for years, a company thay will usually bend over backwards to take care of their customers.(after all you pay for the privelege of shopping there and they want to keep you as a member) Take the mower and warranty back to the s Sam's where you bought it and demand your money back. At the very least take your warranty and receipt for the mower yo the Manager of the store and tell him you want this taken care of. Bet you get results.
