This late-night/early morning "infomercial" narrated by Billy Mays is a "Bait- and-Switch" ripoff! It promises "Buy one, get one free", "My gift to you", "All for $10.00", and several other statements that are plain lies because everything they offer has a hidden price that shows up on your credit card or bank statement. Here is how they screw you:
SHIPPING AND HANDLING charges. The "All this for $10.00, plus a second set FREE", carries two S&H charges of $7.95 each, or possibly twice that much if they charge S&H for the "free" scissors. I couldn't tell because they never presented an itemized breakdown of my wifes order. Just a bill that was many times higher than we expected and so outrageous that they offered to take off some of it twice. Even after those deductions the charges were outrageous.
MULTIPLE ITEMS are shipped in one box or envelope, but each carries an S&H charge of $7.95, even if it was advertised as FREE. The basic $10.00 offer costs $25.90 with the MANDATORY free set. Ordering is done through a computer (no questions asked) and is designed to make you screw up. If you indicate you want two pairs of scissors you will get two sets of two pairs of scissors, each with a &7.95 S&H charge.
This place uses well-thought-out ways to rip consumers off and their "Bait-and-Switch" tactic is clearly illegal in every state. Why isn't the legal system doing anything about it?

In dealing with Samurai Shark, I've obtained the following info that can help other consumers: Samurai Shark is a product sold by SAS Group 220 White Plain Rd. Tarrytown, NY10591 Their phone is 914-332-7878, fax is 914-332-7859 Their head guy is named Scott Sobo; and Glenda Patterson handles consumer complaints etc. Billy Mayes is merely a pitchman hired to do infomercials; he's an actor and not employed by the company.. Their website is www.shopsas.com The Oshkosh, Wisconsin address is a fulfillment center that merely ships the products; they aren't responsible for advertising, quality, or customer service. The best way to get satisfaction is to contact the company directly......maybe even contact the NY state Attorney General's office.....
