Santander USA / Drive Financial Santander Consumer USA, THIS COMPANY IS A MAJOR RIP-OFF. OUR FAMILY WAS DISPLACED AND ARE STILL TRYING TO RECOVER FROM IKE DUE TO LOSS OF EMPLOYMENT, HOME AND OUR INCOME. DRIVE FINANCIAL WAS BOUGHT BY ANOTHER UNHELPFUL CO. P.O. Box 562088, Suite 900-N, Texas
This company is a huge rip-off!!! My husband and I purchased our vehicle in June 2007 under Drive Financial after recovering from another car company that sold us a lemon. Now a few months ago Drive Financial was bought out by Santander USA, who is another horrible finance company that will not help their customers. We have been making payments since June 2007 when our loan was 19,900.00 and now it is October 2009 and it is still 18,000.00 for a pay-off.
I admit there are some things people as myself have made poor credit choices in college, but it does not mean I need people to take more advantage of me because of those choices when I am trying to make attempts do better. My family and I are still recovering from Ike with the loss of employment, home and income. It is truly said when a company tell you that they cannot offer a deferment until you go into default. They can tell us that we have made a payment every month, but we need 1800.00 to come current in order for payments to refrain from being applied to interest only.
This is another sub-prime lender being greedy and just taking advantage of every customer they possibly can. This company has no compassion, assistance and if anyone here of them they should just run the other way because it seems as if we will be paying double the worth of a basic minivan just to get to work, school and church. Jesus! I pray for people to not have to take this route because had I known, I would have rather taking a risk purchasing a car cash vs. this kind of treatment from a car loan company. This is the reason the world is in recession, because of greedy companies as these with no remorse or tools in place to help their customers, but to keep them where they are or worse.
