Sara Kass is the owner of Cliffside Artists Collaborative. I have been involved in the Northeast Ohio art community for a long time, and there has been plenty of talk about how she dislikes black people. One very specific comment in the workplace going around was how she apparently "doesn't like black people coming to her museum". What's even more of a shame is that high school students frequently attend this establishment and are exposed to this woman's discriminatory ideals.

I have known Sara and been an employee of her company for nearly 20 years. She opens her home and her heart to complete strangers so that artists and students can create in a beautiful and unique setting. It baffles me as to why someone would make up such a story about someone who gives so much when she doesnt have to.
What also doesnt make sense is that we have never had a person named Jen work here. Why post something so derogatory about someone and hide behind a fake name? Probably because they are making it up.

I have been going to Cliffside for many art workshops, classes and artist events for more than five years. I have NEVER heard a racist or derogatory comment about any race, nationality, or anything. Sara is one of the most accepting and generous people that I have ever met. She treats everyone equally and speaks of all people equally, and she is one of the most positive people that I know. I also have NEVER heard anyone claim that she makes racist comments or is racist. This claim by this person is preposterous.

I have been going to Cliffside for many years and have painted and skectched along side of Sara Kass. Never have I heard her say anything bad about anyone let along anything racist. It is sad to have read this untrue comment as I know Sara as a kind, generous, giving individual willing to help anyone in anyway she can. Her support of the arts and students of all ages is amazing, and I feel fortunate and blessed to have such a wonderful facitily as Cliffside to go and attend.

The comments made about Sara Kass and how she made racists remarks in the workplace is very untrue and she is one of the most accepting people of all backgrounds. On top of that, she has a very diverse workforce and makes a very positive impact on both students and other individuals within the community. She has won many awards in both state and local catergories and offers scholarships to talented art students in need of guidance for their future field of choice, no matter what their race, sex, sexual orientation, etc., may be. She is a senior citizen who gives her own money to make a better life for the people that surround her as well as the numerous people she welcomes into her own home on a daily basis. I personally have known and have had the pleasure of working with her for over three years and never once have I felt that the accusations made against her have even an ounce of credibility. The person who made this Ripoff Report was intentionally attempting to make her and her entire life's work become bad press for no valid reason whatsoever; it is very unfair and disrespectful to both Sara Kass and her devoted staff whom she considers family. She has taken in artists who were in need both artistically, emotionally, and financially, and has built them up to their fullest potential. It is incredibly cruel that someone could make such a horrendously false accusation and not think twice about the repercussions that their words have caused to her and the students of north east Ohio. Cliffside has and always will be a place of sanctuary, art, and educational growth for each and every person who has both the potential and desire to grow. I hope that this rebuttal can persuade you to look at Sara Kass in a positive manner rather than a disgracefully negative one.
