I ordered a set of Awesome Augers products by telephone by answering a series of yes and no answer questions supplied not by a human being but by a recording. I was asked two different times if I would like a second set of auger products and I answered no both times. At the conclusion of the telephone call I never did know my order number and total amount to be charged to me.

The first time I saw my order total was on the packing slip inside the product shipment box. I discovered I was shipped two set of products for a total cost of $127.90 even though I ordered one set.

I telephoned the company and was told they didn't have available my order information. I was transferred to a supervisor who offered to refund $19.95 if I would keep the second set. Otherwise I could return the second set but would have to pay for the shipping, and insurance costs. I also would not receive much of any refund because most of the charges were for shipping and handling.

I researched the company on the internet and found a person who had complained to the NY Attorney General. I did the same and received a reply that they would intercede in my behalf with the SAS Group

Immediately in response to being contacted by the Attorney General I was contacted by the SAS Group and was asked what I wanted. I stated I wanted a full refund and would return the product. A following phone call from the company informed me I would receive a full refund and would not have to return any of the Awesome Auger Products.

Recently I have found where the SAS Group has established a $200,000 fund for refunding amounts to consumers who file a form with the New York Attorney General. I think the cutoff date for this is the middle of September 2010. Information for this is on the internet.
