Complaint Review: Savelucky- Heath Abreau-str.dirctr & Ufcw- Raymond Kristoff & Fred Pepper/ufcw 588 - Lucky-sebastopol & Ufcw-roseville California

I will make this brief although there is much more to tell I will explain the most serious part.Thank you for your time also.

I was employed at albertsons and was terminated after save mart aquired albertsons but prior to the change to the lucky name.

I worked frozen food as a journeyman clerk and kept noticing that my check seemed to be short to me but since my hours fluctuated I didnt dwell on it to much at that time.

Well I did start paying closer attention to it and realized that I was without a doubt being ripped off.So i went to my poor excuse for a union rep fred pepper and he did nothing but tell me that i needed to get copies of all of my punches for the past year and a half.He said he couldnt do anything until then.

So i was so disgusted in the lack of what i was expecting to be support that i vowed to do everything myself.So i went to the bookeeper to request copies of all my punches and she preceded to call the district manager and put me on the phone with him.

He preceded to tell me that it wouldnt be a good idea to open up that can of worms and denied my request.From that day on the district mgr. and my store director tried everything possible to terminate me,including writing me up for nothing at all.

Then one morning i came to work i was called back to the office and there was my store director heath abreau[the one that stole my time] and cathy craft [regional dir.for loss prevention]and she was there at heath abreaus request.He was stating that i stole time from the company.

Nothing happened because i was innocent.But i did develop a repoar with cathy craft enough to trust her more than the union etc.So the next day i called her because she said to me before she left the day before to call her because she felt there was more to what was going on.

So i told her everything and she did a complete investigation including going over every punch i had ever made with me and finding twenty-three different instances of not only my store director but the bookeeper that had deleted my shifts.

This evidence was made even stronger due to the second man in the store,patrick mccauleys testimony of at least two seperate occasions he witnessed heath abreau deleting my shifts stating that heath said that i would never notice anyway.

Throughout all of this [two-three months] heath was retaliating against me trying everything to get me fired.I called,e-mailed shannon ? cathy crafts boss two times a week so the powers that be would know what was being done.I also called and e-mailed people in higher positions which i dont know the names of off the top of my head[but i do have all of my e-mails on my computer].

So i was called back to the office one morning and a woman from human resources was there along with the store director that stole my time.She had a check for $2,500.00 for me for the time that was stolen from me.it was half of what i felt was due to me.

She gave me the check and then had the oddasity to ask me to sign this piece of paper that was actually a write up.I told her she was out of her mind if she thinks im going to sign anything and that i couldnt believe that she was even bringing a write up to me and a check for the time that was stolen from me while she was sitting with the person whom was responsible for both...

Two weeks later i was suspended for theft of time from the co.the same thing he had tried prior.This time he picked three specific days and he had the video he said to prove it.The union rep was there that day because hr requested him to be unbenounced to me.

So there was a hearing date at the union hall because i had no doubt i would win because the three days that heath was claiming that i had taken longer lunches for were days that i specifically made known to management.

The reason that i had to take longer lunches on those occasions was because my dog whom meant more to me than anything at that time and a dog that i had had for the entire twenty-two years of his life was dieing.

I had gone to management with this and told them this and said my options were to either call in sick or be allowed to take a longer lunch break when needed[mind you i worked graveyard shift always]so were talking three in the morning.

I was given the okay,and if i wouldnt have been i would have called in sick.My dog could no longer get up to walk outside i had to carry him outside which was the least i could do for him and hopefully the same thing someone would do for their child which after twenty-two years my dog was to me.

So the only reason he had me on video for only those exact days that i made known,[how else would he have known to check those exact days?]was because he knew.

So at the hearing which was because of this same store dir.who it was proven had stole from me[and was also across from me at the hearing]i sat with raymond kristoff and fred pepper [union guys] told my story and to keep my job raymond kristoff told me to prove my dog had died.

I went home made copies of my dogs last vet appt. and a copy of the obituary from the creamatorium with the dates on them and 100% proof that i was telling the truth.

Well mr.kristoff called me and told me that i needed a note from the vet.I told him that my dog died at home in my arms and there was nothing that could get from the vet because he died at home.He had everything proven my claim along with the knowledge that this store dir stole from me yet the union allowed the termination to go through.

This was all taking place during the transition to lucky and they were trying to keep lucky /save mart from knowing.But so you know ive since lost my house,have fallen so deep intro debt and would cherish an attorney that could have my back and help me.

There is so much more to this than i have written i just wanted to relay the jist of this.
