Complaint Review: Schaeffler Group USA -

I would like to start out by saying this is a real company the scammers just jacked the name so that no traces of scams would come up when you search for them.  Okay No one has posted about this scam yet so I decided to address it before someone falls for it. Id like to say I was not scammed because I didn't go through with it but just in case this same or similar scenario is brought to you, a proper decision can be made to prevent the scam.

Earlier today at 3:44 pm I got a text message from 209-432-7547.

It read...Good day [ProMatic], how are you doing? This is in regards of your resume posted online, I am Ms Susan Moore, from Schaeffler Group USA Inc. Your resume has been viewed and forwarded to our Head Department,kindly reply back if interested. (Of course I was interested since I had posted my resume on indeed.) Then she this Susan lady said... The positions available are. Data Entry,Clerical Admin ,Administrative Clerk,Customer Service,Dispatcher,financial analys,Medical Billing& Coding, Accounting,Payrol Clerk,FrontDeskClerk,Project Manager,Operations Manager,Typist Clerk,Management,Systems Engineering,Software Engineering Which are you applying for ? (Then she said the interview will be conducted through Google hangouts and sent me this text.....) Good, i need you to add and invite your online Hiring Manager Mrs Jannett White at ( [email protected] ) Via google hangout... She will be online now waiting for you and she will help you to know more about the company and job details.. Let me know once you have gotten in touch with her... OK So I go to Google hang outs and the interview was conducted through IM (First Red Flag- An interview being conducted through IM and not video chat).

(I answered all the questions but I'm not gonna type it since I'm doing this report from my phone and can't copy and paste everything at once. ) ***Red Flag*** - in the next message she ask me about my bank account even though I said direct deposit.

Clearly she wanted to make sure she wasn't wasting her time with someone who wouldn't even be able to make the deposit. The Question "10" was asked because i wanted to know if you have a Savings or Checking account, because to receive future pay from the company an employee needs to have a Savings or Checking account i believe you now understand why the question was asked ? I do. I have a checking account. Well you have done well so far and you seem like a perfect fit for this position, I need you to hold on online because i need to forward our conversation to the Head Dept to enable them see if you are committed and good for this job. The review process will take few mins...Standby and Make sure your IM is available Okay ? Okay I'm back, I have Positive news for you. What should I expect from here? During your training and orientation my supervisor's will reach you via e-mail or phone for your position offer-documents and your working papers. Also they will put you through our company's guildlines under US human Resources Laws and Regulations ok? You will be getting your paper work and HR document during your orientation and training from your supervisor once you have all your working materials ready, you are to fill,sign and send back to us..Okay ? Here are the names of the software's you will need to start working with Myob business essentials software 2014, US Patent Single Users Pack simply accounting 2015,Apple Final Cut Express 3.5 HD Upgrade,Norton Ghost 9.0,Microsoft Office XP 2014 Standard Upgrade,Peach tree Premium Accounting 2014.erly Simply Accounting),Business. Your training supervisor need you to get these programs ready to enable you work accurate with him or her. Are you familiar with any of the software's ? None of these software's are familiar but then again, it doesn't take me long to catch on. Good. The company will provide you a free Apple laptop with a fast internet connection and your W2 form will be coming along with the working materials you need to start working with, you are to purchase all your materials from a certified vendor we have been patronizing for years now. You will receive a paycheck for the purchase of the working materials, the company's accounting dept will issue the check and have it sent to your house via FedEx or USPS , they will have it sent to the address you have just provided. Okay. ***Red Flag*** - in the next message.

She kept saying a trusted vendor but couldn't even tell me the name of the vendor. In actually the vendor.. is the scammer. NOTE: All Equipments and software's are to be purchased from the company's accredited vendor.. We have been buying from this Vendor for years now... That's because all materials will be Customized in your names and the Company Logo and shipped to you via FedEx or USPS The software vendor will be responsible for installing the software's, patches and any updates. They will also need to perform manual data backups and secure the data to meet HIPAA standards. As soon as the check its been issued out to you i will notify you and provide you with the tracking number so you can keep track of it and be on look out for it, report online as soon as you have it so i can give you further instructions and i will refer you to the vendor you will be purchasing the materials from... Okay ? Okay. ***obvious red flag*** - on the next message. She says deduct my $100 sign on bonus...which all scammers tell you to keep for yourself. Then says I am to pay the vendor via cash deposits...Why on earth does a vendor you've been dealing with for years...only take cash deposits into their account. A clear scam. Once you received the check you are needed to have it deposited to your bank account via the ATM or your bank Mobile App ,Then the funds will be will be credited and available in your account for cash out the next day morning.. You are to deduct $100 as your sign up bonus and use the rest to purchase all your important softwares and working materials from the trusted online Vendor whom we have been buying from for years now and the means of payment accepted by the vendor is via Cash Deposit into the vendors account which i will provide you with the vendor's information you will be sending payment to.. Understood ? Yes. Can you briefly explain to me what you will be using the Company Check for and Where to get your materials from ? I will be using the check to purchase all of the material and online soft ware from an online vendor that you will provide to me. Good..... How do you want your name to appear on the Company Check ? ******* ******* All we need from you is good work and trust and you will enjoy every moment working with us I have no problem giving that and I hope so.
