We are having problems suing Schutt Homes because he owes 100K in back taxes and the IRS is first in line. He told us to screw ourselves and will do the same to you. He is now advertising on Craigslist with a different phone number and name. Do not use any oak log home company in the Oak Grove, Kansas City Missouri area or you will be the next victim. We will not go away and if only one person listens and is spared the grief this man will put them through it is worth it.

In July of 2011, Randy and Dawn Gintz contracted with Schutt Log Homes, LLC to purchase a Kit Log Home for a total purchase price of $19,950.00. The Kit Log Home was to be delivered in April of 2012. Per the contract, Randy and Dawn Gintz paid Schutt Log Homes, LLC a non-refundable deposit of $10,000.00 with the remaining balance due upon delivery. In order to produce the Kit Log Home, Schutt Log Homes, LLC expended in excess of $10,000.00 in the procurement and milling of the timber necessary to complete the Kit Log Home. After Schutt Log Homes, LLC had already purchased the necessary materials, and months before the scheduled delivery date, Randy and Dawn Gintz attempted to cancel the contract and demanded the return of their non-refundable deposit.
Ultimately, attorneys for Schutt Log Homes, LLC and Randy and Dawn Gintz attempted to resolve the dispute regarding the Gintzs demand for a return of their non-refundable deposit. In attempting to cancel the contract and demanding the return of their non-refundable deposit, Randy and Dawn Gintz had breached the terms of the contract. Schutt Log Homes, LLC, through its attorney, offered to either: 1) finish the Kit Log Home and deliver the same per the terms of the contact in exchange for Randy and Dawn Gintz paying the remaining balance; or 2) liquidate the purchased materials and pay Randy and Dawn Gintz the monies received from the liquidation minus Schutt Log Homes, LLCs unrecouped expenses. Randy and Dawn Gintz rejected both settlement offers and the parties were unable to resolve the dispute between them. Schutt Log Homes, LLC did everything it could to resolve the issues with Randy and Dawn Gintz, but unfortunately no resolution was possible
