I have used Schwans for years. Our driver was awesome! Unfortunately, about a year ago, he moved on to another job and even told us so. Since then, we had NO service for months - I even tried calling customer service to get them to ship to me but they said a new driver would be there in 2 weeks. Well, 3 months later and we see the truck at least but he didn't stop...not until the next time (2 weeks out). Since then, we've had 4 new guys. I know someone who was going to work there and was told to 'make sales' in a territory 50 miles from where he'd actually work! (not a great way to meet your new customers). Anyhow... their customer service is awful and if there were another service locally, I'd check them out! (plus Schwans is losing out on pricing many times anyhow).

Ever try Shipping???

#2Consumer Suggestion

I understand how frustrating it can be when you want a product and it seems like a company doesn't care if they sell you or not. I had a similar problem and I set-up shipping in a free re-usable cooler that Schwans supplied. They went UPS and I wasn't charged extra after speaking with customer service manager. I understand the convenience of having someone hand it to you at your front door in person, but when you think of it, what's the difference of having the UPS person deliver it to your front door? I know, I know.... the world is becoming so very impersonal, but we need to change with the times. After all, when was the last time someone pumped your gas and checked the oil for you at a filling station? Even Blockbuster really wants you to use the on-line service, (like Netflix). After having setup many eComerce web sites since 1995, (way ahead of the times), after doing many of those quick surveys you are invited to take, ( only 2 or 3 questions), the 16-25 age bracket was the most active with ordering on the web. I guess they don't have as many years of buying experience as those in the 26-65 range. It's all what you grow up with. So, why not try Schwans on-line service? It's easy and fast and NEVER have we gotten a frozen product that was even close to being defrosted. Always completely frozen. And, I DO NOT work for, ever worked for or plan to work for Schwans, nor do I know anyone that does.
