I am a Vietnam combat veteran and unfortunately a senior citizen and I have been scammed! I am a retired firefighter from Aurora Fire Department with a decent retirement and I have a Citibank credit card on auto pay in full every month. For some odd reason my computer will not allow me open up my credit card statement each month and at my own fault, I just look at the summary amount and if it looks about right for my spending habit each month, I let it pay and go on with my life.

This month, with  the coronavirus hitting my retirement account for $65,000.00 and the credit card bill being over a $1000.00, I decided to check in to my credit card account in depth. After several minutes getting logged on I was shocked to find a recurring charge for $39.95 each month for some outfit called Scoresense with an 800 number following it. I called the number to find out what they did and how they got on my credit card account. I immediately told a well rehearsed story of " do I  you remember asking for a free credit report a while back? Well after 7 days, if not cancelled, we start charging a fee for our service". I have asked for my credit report a time or two, but never one that  mentioned a charge. I was never informed that a charge would be made to my credit card and do not remember ever giving my credit card number to any credit reporting firm! I am sure that if a notice was sent, it was designed to go into the spam folder and I never saw it. I have been charged $39.95 a month for 19 months! For a service that is offered for free from several companies!

I asked for a full refund of all money paid and of course was told that the higher ups would have to make that call, but of course my account would be cancelled and no further charges would occur. I went to the company website and made a request for a full refund on their customer service site, but of course have not heard anything. I will be filing a fraudulent charge claim with my credit card company. I checked with Rip-off Reports and this has happened to hundreds of people! I have also changed my credit card statement to mailed instead of paperless, so that I see my statements each month! I have learned my lesson. Please check into all the fraudulent charge claims from hundreds of people on the web. Also, most people were being charged $29.95 each month, but I was being charged $39.95. Please help. With all that's going on in this world at this time, we don't need companies taking advantage of senior citizens of any person! I can't afford $800.00 for nothing when I didn't ask for the service.
