 I feel like an idiot now looking back on the whole transaction but my desperation in getting my family into a vehicle clouded my judgement. I answered an online ad for a vehicle on Craigslist 2/5/16 after I had been out of a vehicle for several months, I saw an ad for 2001 Pontiac aztec for 950.00 stating that nothing is wrong with it and that it only needs a tune up. Well I arrive at the lot and the vehicle looked decent and the salesman cranks it up. It ran ok but I do notice the serpitine belt needs to be replaced because it was making a noise, I asked where there any more problems and he replied no it just needs a tune up and you'll have a decent care. I go in to speak with another sales man I'm guessing a manager of some type and I spoke about using my debit card for the transaction. He only swiped it for 800 and I had to go get the remainder from the bank. I left and had a bit of a problem getting the rest from the bank.( That were one sign to back away ) I pressed on to get the cash after another decline from the ATM because I reached my withdrawal limit, I returned with a friend to view the vehicle again. The salesman told the he sent the key out to get a copy made which I thought was odd but I guess. My friend was unable to crank and view the vehicle as I planned so we left to try a withdrawal the remainder from the bank with success, We returned and made the transaction, so happy that I was finally getting into a vehicle it slipped my mind to check out the car again. As I waited for my friend who had stepped out to smoke I signed paperwork that felt kind of rushed but I paid it no mind because I signed and gave him the balance. (Sign #2) We headed out to receive the vehicle the first saleman had already driven it outside of the gate which me and my friend thought that was odd. I get in and give my friend the nod and we drove away.... My heart dropped the car ran terrible almost if it was straining to accelerate I shook my head I just had gotten ripped off. I proceeded to drive it to the home depot which was not a pleasant drive because is seem as if it wouldn't make it. I run into the home depot and return to the vehicle with my daughter and it did not crank. I finally get it to running after a lil play and headed back to the lot. I arrived and expressed my disappointment and they acted as if it was my problem now and he kept saying it needs a tune-up . I left in disgust and meet up with my friend and took it right to an mechanic who checked the oil and immediately told me there's water leaking into the oil and pointdled out the stem that was coming out of the oil reserve. I immediately took the vehicle back. When I arrive I spoke to the guy who took my money and told him what the mechanic said and he replied that he need the mechanic report and he could have a manager to look over it THEN to conversation quickly turned into what do you expect to get for 950 dollars. I was appalled so I asked for a refund, he declined so I asked could the the amount be applied toward another vehicle he said no. So now I asked to speak with the guy he suggested that would look over the repair order and he said he was out for the next few days. So I sinks in that I would more than likely take a loss and I leave and the vehicle has been parked in my driveway since. I didnt know if it's worth it to file or suit or just sale the car and just toss it up to a costly mistake with a shady car company. Please beware with this company there's no honesty here, they are very shady and they do not stand behind their product. When I told him I really needed a working vehicle to get my kids back and forth and to make it to work he looked as if he didn't have a care in the world...

Anyone selling a vehicle that only needs a tune-up will perform that tune-up so the vehicle performs well during a test-drive. Unless of course the vehicle is in need of additional maintenance and the seller hopes to be fortunate enough to find a potential buyer that is too foolish to take the vehicle on a test-drive.
