I own an intensive neuro therapy for children with cerebral palsy and was unfortunately backed into a corner where I needed at PT fast.  I contacted multiple recruiters before I came across Scott Mars LLC, who offered their recruiting services for a full time PT for one year.  During that year if they were to quit or not work out on our end, Scott Marks LLC would continue to fill the position.

Scott provided us with 10 references which most of were positive.  The rest had nothing bad to say, but they also provided us with other agencies which they now use.  We decided to go with Scott Marks and paid $2000 upfront, and agreed to pay an additional $3000 once the position was filled.  The first few days we received 5-10 resumes which a couple of we had already spoken with.  Seven or so of the 10 were located 2 hours plus outside of Los Angeles which we brought to Scott and Brandon Resasco's attention.  We were told they were willing to either relocate or commute to our clinic so we went ahead and scheduled an interview with the only candidate who fit our needs.  The day of the interview we contacted the candidate who told us they would not be coming because they didn't realize how far our clinic was from San Diego.  We expressed our concern to Scott and Brandon and we reassured they had many other candidates and were confident they would be able to get us somebody hired in time.

After this all communication fell off.  We were unable to get ahold of either Scot or Brandon via phone or e-mail.  After a few weeks we realized we had most likely been scammed by Scott Marks, LLC who is based across the country from our clinic.

Periodically I would give them a call to see if they would pick up and a few months later... THEY DID.  Scott claimed he had been sending me e-mails with resumes and they must not have been getting through.  I asked why he hadn't returned any calls or e-mails and he said... wait I bet you can guess....... He hadn't goten any!!  Of course I didn't believe anything he was saying, but I thought I would be nice because we had 6-7 months left on our contract and could use a part time therapist at that point.  Scott said he would forward me alllll the resumes he has been sending as soon as we got off the phone and apologized for the inconvenience.

Mark and Brandon Resasco took our money and then sent us a list of 10-15 resumes of random people who were NOT looking for internal medicine/primary care jobs and did not know Scott Marks Recruitment. (probably the list of resumes were really old).

I called each person on the lists and Not one person made an interview.  Brandon and Mark don't answer their phones anymore.  Last I talked to Mark, he said he wasn't working at the company anymore even though I had called the company number.

Please do not listen to anything Brandon or Marc Resasco have to say.   If you'd like to see other reviews of happy customers they have taken to the cleaners, please read the reviews below.

We employe 20+ therapists and offer the benefits which were "falsly promised" to every single one.  Obviously we wouldn't pay a recruiter $2,000 to falsy promise potiential candidates.  We did not conduct one interview,(not sure where the two interviews that were 2.5 hours came from) nor were we provided with one candidate who was actually intersted.

Please don't give them a chance to take advantage of any other business oweners.  Feel free to contact me directly for further details.

#5REBUTTAL Owner of company

Wed, January 29, 2014

Bryan La Scala who is the son of the owner of the clinic had employed our RETAINED search firm in effort of placing a physical therapist with a pediatric background at his mother's clinic.    We had sent over candidates that wanted to work for his clinic based on FALSE promises that were made to our organization that he would compensate the PT for traveling expenses, health insurance coverage, CEUs accredited through the American Physical Therapy Association, and a 401k matching plan.

Through an EXHAUSTING effort, our company was able to secure candidates to interview with the clinic.   The offer then changed to the PTs and those perks were no longer available.    The candidates then reported to us and said "WHY DID WE WASTE THEIR TIME?"    I felt extremely embarrassed and realized that this company is not speaking truth regarding their offer.

I mentioned that due to difficulty of securing a pediatric therapist, there must be leadway in terms of salary, benefits, etc...    There was no such leadway and no such promises kept.    Both partners have worked tirelessly in securing interviews for the aboveforementioned practice and they LIED to us and the candidates.   They SCAMMED the candidates by letting them drive 2 1/2 hours for interviews and did not fulfill their promise.
