On April 20, 2013 I called Scotts Lawn Service of Carrollton, Texas to cancel my service.  I had used Scotts for about a year and my yard continued to be full of weeds.  I decided I would try a different service.  When I called they offered to treat my yard again for free.  I told them I had made up my mind and that I no longer wanted them to provide monthly service.

On June 6, 2013 Scott's called my cell phone and wanted to set-up an appointment for the next day.  I explained to the person that I had cancelled my service in April and I had hired another company to treat my yard.  The representative then transferred me to the manager.  I told him my story and explained that I was done with Scotts.  I explained again that I had cancelled my service in April. I paid Scotts for the April 3rd treatment on April 19th.  I further explained that I do not know why they continue to call me. I reviewed with him my dissatisfaction with the quality of work performed and the lack of results.  After spending hundreds of dollars with them my yard really didn't look much better.

On June 7th Scotts claims that they treated my yard again.  My wife was at home most of the day but she didn't see them. They did leave a stake in the yard.  They sent me a bill a week or so later.  I wrote on the bill that I had cancelled service in April and that I was not going to pay them.  I mailed the invoice back to them with my comments regarding my general dissatisfaction with their service.

Over the next few weeks I received multiple calls to my cell phone with messages to call Scotts regarding an "important matter that they needed to discuss with me".  I called them back at the number they left and got a recording.  After receiving another bill in August, I called the local branch in Carrollton and asked to speak to the manager.  This was on August 30th.  The manager was not available but the representative listened to my complaint, agreed to cancel my service and adjust the balance on my account.

On September 15th I received a American Profit Recovery notice where they have turned me over for collection.  That notice is dated September 10th.

I would advise anyone in the Metro Dallas area to steer clear of Scotts LawnService of Carrollton as they do not do a good job and they do not keep their word.
