Scuba Shack Manzanillo Horrible scuba diving with Scuba Shack in Manzanillo Manzanillo, Internet
Went diving with the scuba shack manzanillo and it was one of the most unpleasant experiences I or my family have ever had. I have read the other articles and don't wish to rehash the experience but for the most part the other reports are quite accurate.
Unfortunately we were unaware of the other dive center in Manzanillo. But suffice to say that their website is full of misinformation.
They do not tell you that you need a minimum of divers to go out on a boat. Otherwise its a beach dive from a rather unspectacular beach. If your offered the wreck dive. They don't tell you its from the beach and you have to don your equipment and then swim out about 300 yards to the wreck which is in only 25 feet of water. All the while your dodging boats and jet skis. The first dive you go around the ship...unimpressive, and the second you actually go into it... some what interesting
I guess had the website been more accurate and honest. I would not be so upset. But not knowing until you get there and after having spent hundreds of dollars in airfare and hotel. Well you can imagine our disappointment.
I agree with the other posting. This shop is in need of some hygiene and repair. Get rid of all the animals for one, its a dive shop for god sakes.
The owners were not as unpleasant as the other articles state. But not the friendliest people in the world. I don't begrudge anyone drinking on their time off. But one of the owners did have a faint odor of alcohol on his breath, this at 9:00am.
In a nut shell. I could not in good conscious recommend this center... Ever or for any reason.

Horrible, Horrible, Horrible service.. Just dove scuba shack in manzanillo and it was the worst dive center I have ever been too. Broken equipment, air smelled like oil.. Come on How I wished I had reviewed this site before diving.
Carlos Cuellar you are not a gift to women so stop acting like your don juan, My wife did not appreciate it in anyway. And your store smells like cat uring. wtf.
But at least the other dive center at the BARCELO KARMINA PALACE was just as bad. Horrible service seems to be the norm for diving in manzanillo.

Do not,, just dont use this company,, the complaints on Rip-Off Report (and there are many) are telling you the truth. Just went with this company and its a joke.. A joke plain and simple. I dont care about the over paid, shitty service. I just wish I had my half an afternoon back.
What a waste of time and money.
