I purchased a Sealy Posturpedic queeen size mattress from a high-end furniture store back in 2009. The warranty was for 10 years. In the past three, my mattress started to sag badly due to bad manufacturing. I followed the online instructions for warranty replacement and was angered at just how difficult they make it for a consumer to request an inspection for an exchange. I filled out the first online form, and then was hit with another, where this company requested multiple pictures of every detail of the mattress as well as more information from the consumer than I believe would be required for a warranty claim on a $500,000 house. Even down to measuring the indentations on the mattress -- something most people would finally throw up their hands and give up.

It became obvious to me that this company's objective is to grind down requests for warranty replacement and get them to finally give up out of frustration. And if they get even half of those who wish to get this company to honor its warranty, then obviously the company has saved a lot of money.

I tried to cooperate with them, even phoning them twice and remaining on the line, despite exceptionally long hold times. In the end, they showed their true colors to me. I will NEVER PURCHASE A MATTRESS FROM THIS COMPANY AGAIN. Just because it's a well known brand name, doesn't mean that the current management doesn't exploit that trust to its own benefit.
