Sears Kenmore Kenmore Kenmore Dehumidifiers are designed to last one year only Roanoke, Virginia
I have had 3 Sears Kenmore 70 pint dehumidifiers go bad in a 2 year period. Management will not do anything about it since there is a 12 month warranty. One of the units was replaced for free after 6 months, but after 13 months, the replacement unit filled my basement with smoke and could have burned my house down. I paid to have it repaired and now the 3rd unit has quit after 18 month of ownership. I am reading online that several people have had similar experiences with this particular product.
