I purchased glasses from Sears Optical on 07/21/2011 In Texarkana, TX.  It was suspose to take a week to 10 days to receive them, but after 10 days the manager called me and said there had been problems at the factory but they would be ready soon.  Thursday I received a call from the manager stating my glasses were in and wanting to set an appointment for me to come and pick them up. She stated to me that they were closing the shop and she would be there until 5:30 pm that day and Friday but she would be gone by Saturday, but she could mail them to me.  I told her I would be there before closing time one of those days.  At 11 o'clock Friday morning when I went to pick up my glasses the shop was totally empty and with a chain across it and she was no where to be found.  I explained my problem to 3 Sears associates and they found my glasses in a drawer and called the telephone number listed on the sign at the chain.  The person the phone finally allowed the associate to give me the glasses since I was standing there with a paid receipt for $340.99 in my hand and very upset about the situation. 

I can not wear the glasses.  Yesterday I drove 75 miles to Shreveport, LA to return the glasses to a Sears Optical there only to be told that it was not owned by the same company that had owned Texarkana store and they could not refund my money.  Now I have glasses I can not wear and must travel 150 miles to Tyler and hope they have not also been closed; Dallas area is next city!
