Secured Gold Buyers Hawaii Fraud scam lie Aiea, Hawaii
Brought in gold jewelry to sell and the staff,to begin with, seems very inexperienced. He first priced it all at 14k when one ring was clearly marked 18k. When he filled out the sheet, he doesn't fill in the pricing yet told me a price. The price was unusually low for the amount of gold. I do admit I should have mentioned that at the moment but I was on break from work. I wasn't given a receipt.
I called the manager for the company and informed him and was told to stop in and I would get a receipt and an explanation of the pricing. I went in and asked to see the itemization sheet. It had been whited out on the hundreds digit of the final price and a few other spots. Obviously edited after my call. I told him to break it down and it was a couple hundred under what it should have been according to him and I was given the excuse that it changes day to day when I saw him that morning. They were somewhat hostile about it and all I asked was that I get what it's worth but they told me I could just return the money and get my stuff back. I agreed to get it over with.
Ended up going (((competitor's name redacted))) and getting more than $300 more.
sorry, allowing you to give a competitors name would instigate others to just file against their competition, to only come back later to suggest their company, ..plus, if you post a competitors name more than likely they will show up on search engines as a Rip-off! - - your comments on this policy are welcome.
