I have had an account since April 2009.  I have recently been discharged for medical, and have not started receiving disability and haven't found a job yet.  I have not missed a payment yet, however when I was four days late with the payment for December, they threatened to repossess the car if I did not agree to pay by the end of the month.  I was told I should not pay for my daughter's prescription because they can't take my car for failure to pay, and that I wouldn't be able to take my kids to the hospital anyway if I didn't have the car.  II was told that they weren't late with the money when I needed it, and that I was an irresponsible individual.  The company continued to harass me for nearly an hour as I continued to maintain that I had no money to make the payment.  I have never been treated as poorly as this by any company, and NEVER been threatened by anybody.  I went to the Better Business Bureau to file a complaint for the treatment and found that they had more than 40 complaints filed already.  I requested they be forced to make a donation to a disabled veterans charity.  I found this site with a Google search and found that there are a slew of complaints here, describing their exploitation of military members, of which I have been one (my car was 12,000 after a down payment of 3,000, and when I'm done repaying the loan I will have payed them more than 22,000).  I then saw their rebuttal and was outraged.  These people are vultures that prey on the guaranteed pay of the government and the minute you lose that guarantee, they immediately seek an opportunity to recoup the vehicle.  They claim to be a leader in their industry.  Ask them what their interest rates are in comparison to the credit card companies currently under scrutiny by the government.  I have filed my complaint with the Better Business Bureau and a complaint with the office of Congressman Roscoe Bartlett about their business practices.
