At first there were just security warning pop ups that my daugher ignored, because she has a firewall/security package. Within 24 hours the pop ups were making using her laptop very difficult - constantly trying to confirm continue without their 'protection'. A further 24 hours and the laptop had been disabled - no amount of trying to cancel the pop ups was working, logging onto Windows was impossible or any of the other icons - even the firewall package already there! The warnings were scary - credit card details at risk of being copied, permanent damage to laptop, spyware and compromise of your privacy were all on pop ups. So thinking that the firewall on the laptop had expired I went ahead and purchased the 2 yr deal ($49.95). The process went ahead and the laptop fired up, however, the non of the options on their security tool screen worked and I couldn't register.

My email has been flooded with foul spam, my card details obviously have been accessed 'cos my bank has been targeted with payments I've not made myself - I've had to cancel my bank and credit cards, I may not get the monies back that have already gone through my account - although my bank is trying to dispute them for me.

I have emailed the company and asked for a refund - no response. I would recommend to anyone who gets the Security Tool pop ups - ignore them, take your pc to a dealership for help if it gets disabled - whatever you do DON'T pay for the security tool - it opens your system up and your bank details vulnerable. This has caused me so much stress and distress, I wouldn't want it to happen to anyone else.
