I heard from a South African lady that SeeitClickit are now scamming individuals and small companies in South Africa with their usual 'Facebook advertising' spiel. In case you don't know it, this company claim to sell Facebook adverting, and don't deliver. I got all my money back via HSBC. Others have not been so lucky.

The South African lady called Manchester trading standards who claimed that no complaint has been made against this company, despite myself having contacted them personally! When I called today, they advised that I contact the citizen advice ..in Cambridge to get advice as it is a Civil issue apparently, not a criminal one, and if it is a criminal issue, Trading Standards in Manchester may do something about it.  I would argue this is untrue, it is a criminal case. If a company sells you a service, which it does not deliver, as this one has to many, then it is a pre meditated crime. The are stealing money. Citizens advice in Cambridge may then contact Trading Standards in Manchester.

Am I wrong, or is this crazy? Can I set up a company offer a service, not deliver and earn lots of money, and do this for ages or forever without anything happening? This is madness. Something has to be done about seeitclickit

I have my money back, but am not going to stop pursuing this till they are gone. Even then they may well simply open as another company I guess. I have found a few details through a whois search on the domain on whois - see http://whois.net/whois/seeitclick.it. The owner of the company, called UK Business Utilities is Adeel Khaliq. He can be found on LinkedIn. www.datavision21.com is also somehow linked to seeitclickit

Next steps? Change.org campaign? Pressure on Trading Standards through channels like Twitter?

Any suggestions welcome...
