I got a loan through equicredit corp in 2000 and later around 2004 was sold to fairbank who later changed to sps. i filed bankruptcy in 2002 which ended in 2007 my home balance was 51,000 approx. at the time i filed bankruptcy and when i finished it was the same. my bankruptcy ended in june 2007 i had to do a forebearance because they said i was 2 months behind, from july 2007 through dec, 2007 totallying the amount per month of 1,964.17 in order to keep my home. In jan 2008 my monthly payment was 630.00 per month and therefter in which i paid until august in which at that time i pursued a loan modification through a company called "save my home" out of new york (another ripoff story) i was told they would negotitate with sps on my behalf (thanks tony for taking my 600 dollars for nothing) i called this man 1-2 times per week after i sent (paid/faxed) him all the info he requested of me he assured me to be patience the process was taking a long time (from aug to this present day) i have not gotten ay results. so i called"hope for america" for a loan modification after receiving from sps a foreclosure notice in jan 09,Juan,after 2week called me and gave me an offer from sps, i would have to send them 1200 dollars x 3 months then pay them 844 dollars thereafter for 5 years per month, i almost passed out, literally .I told juan i thought he was going to help me not bury me alive as he had promised his company would/could do. our new president package plan for struggling homeowners, remember, a single black woman with an 68 year old blind mother whom she is trying to keep out of the nursing home so she can pass away in her daughters home, also a mentally reterded disabled 38 year old brother whom i am also trying to maintain in the home rather than institutionalize (my mother has a terminal illness) i cannot get sps to understand , they will not be reasonable r/t a loan modification with me or a company they just want to sell my house get all the profit. the last statement i received from sps balance due on my house was 44,000 , in the foreclosure notice it was back up to 50,850. God is this even legal? I feel my only option is bankruptcy again can anybody help???? [email protected]
