My vehicle was repossessed by this company last night. My husband and I were not notified that they were removing the vehicle from out property.
Less than 24 hours later we went to this place in Ashland VA to pick up our personal possessions out of the vehicle and when we got to pick up our possessions we noticed that a watch that was given to my husband by my father was missing out of its box. We brought it to the attention of select recovery and they handled it like it was no big deal.
We have filed a police report in the county that we live in as well as in Ashland. Capital One is our financing company and we have informed them as well and they are going to remove the vehicle from Select Recovery's property and place the vehicle somewhere else in a secure location.
I just want others to be aware that they are not handling things properly and they have been known to steal personal possessions (per other people's reports on this company), they also have a class action law suit against them in the state of Illinois!
Not only does it seem to be a sheisty operation they are running BUT they also made my husband pay $40 (money order or cashiers check only) to get his identification out of the vehicle to prove he was who he said he was. Be careful when dealing with this company.
