Set Schedule Real Estate Lead Scam California
DO NOT USE THIS COMPANY:
I do not pay for real estate leads. I may consider sharing commission. When they contacted me I stated this up front however agreed to talk to someone thinking possibly there was a way to get leads with just a commission share. Totally weak moment, which is what I see everyone saying on the Online Reviews. No doubt I was lied to about the local details of what they provide.
Tried to cancel within 1-2 hours of agreeing. No one will respond. Called my Bank to cancel CC charge, too late, already being processed. Finally spoke with someone next day and they said I can not cancel, there is not cancellation option…
After all the great talk of how they prequalify the leads and showing me, via sharing his computer screen on-line, how happy the people were on the platform, he claimed there was only one other agent in the area and "SHE" received 8 leads just yesterday....even gave me the areas they were located....and "SHE" only took 2 of the 8. Also stated that she closed 15% of the 300 leads she received last year alone. She has been a member for 26 months.
After I agreed to join, paid my $1570, I logged on to the platform looked at the leads. They were all leads that were well below medium home price in the area. Meaning these leads were hopeful to buy but could not purchase in the area. I then looked at the agents in the area.
There was indeed only one agent in my area..... it was not a "SHE" . I immediately called this agent and he stated how terrible the leads were and that he has just written off the expense, no longer tries to contact the leads. I then tried 2 other agents in California and received the same information.
I then started looking closer at the reviews online... ALL of them were the same thing. Weak moment, terrible leads, no way any of these leads have been pre-qualified as the company claimed. Many stating that the people they were contacting were being harassed by realtors and have no intention of buying or selling, even saw one or two statements of these "leads" threatening to call the cops on the agents.
I wish BBB would do something about this company. They are robbing us hard working realtors and giving us a bad name.
