I myself had joined Shapes in Dec. of 2011. they were running a special in Jan. so I brought my Aunt and she joined. the same day we called my mom (80) and ask if she wanted to join. So my aunt set her up under her credit card. Well everything was all set, and before we left my mom called and said that she really didn't think she would go to the gym. So she didn't want to do it. We talked with Jenna (at the time the manager) and told her that my mom did not want to join, so we needed to cancel that contract. Jenna said ok she would take care of it and being stupid we trusted that she would handle it and cancel that contract.. Well I am sure all of you reading this know what I am about to say. My Aunt didn't realize they were taking the money out of her account for my mom's contract. After about 4 months she realized that they were taking to much money out. She got all her statements from the bank and took it to Shapes, so to make a long story short. Jenna is in New Port Richy now. So we talked to the new manager. She said there was nothing she could do we needed to talk with Jenna, so the new manager got Jenna on the phone told her what was going on and she denied the most part of it. We were told that we would have to call Corp. billing and see what they could do. Well all we got was an e-mail address not a phone number. I called Jenna and ask her why she never closed out the account like she told us she would. Her reply was she doesn't remember that conversation. She said that she was not told to cancel it. That by the time my mom came in it was to late, past the grace period. Well my mom never went there she called the same day that she was signed up.
They will not let you out of the contract, and they will not give you the corp number either. Well we are going to cancel the auto pay at the bank and let them take us to collections. We tried to resolve this, but they do not wish too.
