Shawn Samol AKA, DYNASTY PROPERTIES INTERNATIONAL, LTD was hired to do various improvements on a house purchased in Las Vegas, NV in Oct. of 2012. The crew first showed up to do some plumbing and tile work. One of the workers admitted to me he was an illegal alien from Mexico. They did terrible work, used substandard parts, and were all about profit. After being "called on" some of the parts used, Shawn reluctantly had his subcontactors replace them.

These people showed up at my house from the start asking me what was supposed to be done even though Shawn had a detailed report. When I gave them instructions to use the provided slate around the fireplace and they did a terrible job (admitted to by Shawn), he said they would re-do.

Well, he called a little after a week later to finish all interior electrical, tile, etc. and the first one to show up was an electrician. He didn't know what he was supposed to do. By the time he was done and gone, he had overlooked many defective electrical receptacles and didn't even touch the exterior which were part of the bid. His tile subs did a substandard job and he just kept coming up with rebuttals for it as usual. He even tried to create a conflict between myself and the probably illegal tile workers. When I asked him if they were legal, he said yes. I asked if I could run them through E-Verify and he simply changed the subject because he knew they were illegals.

I am a contractor myself and have a pretty good idea of what good and bad work is regardless of trade. He basically pitted the tile guys and me against each other in the guise of racism as an excuse to walk of the job. He did this because he realized he could not get away with the b.s. he usually does on jobs. He even threatened to sue me for discrimination as a cover up.

I'm not going to go on and on which I could. However, the bottom line is that they did about $1,400 worth of parts and labor for around $2,300. That figure includes his general contractor fees. I had to do the rest of the electrical that I could myself and still have a poorly tile, ungrouted fireplace. Thanks a lot Shawn.

I strongly urge anyone in the Las Vegas area NOT to hire this company or deal with Shawn Samol in any way. This report doesn't even go into many other issues that occurred.
