My family is heartbroken. We paid for a Yorkie puppy on Monday June 2,2008. I paid via credit card and was told the puppy would be delivered on Saturday, the 8th of June. The puppy arrived at my home about 11:00 a.m. without any medical records, in the arms of a delivery man.

The puppy was in horrific shape, not moving, urinating upon himself and basically dying. The delivery man suggested that I get the pup to the vet ASAP. I took the dog, along with my 4 year old and 6 year old to my vet immediately. As soon as we entered the office, they grabbed him from my arms and began emergency care. My children and I were hysterical.

The vet worked on him for about an hour, and even called this "breeder" to find out what medications they had given the puppy. They claimed only benadryl, which was contrary to what the delivery man said. He told me that they sedated him for the trip. My vet told me that since the puppy was so young-about 7 weeks and small-about 3 pounds they were having a hard time reviving him. As I made arrangements for my children to be picked up from the vet's office so that I could bring the dog to the hospital, I was called in by the vet and told the puppy did not make it! This about 1-1/2 hours after receiving the poor puppy.

The Kennel and Sheila Rush refuse to return our money and say that the puppy was fine the day before. This person says that I signed a contract (which was handed to me as the dog was dying, although I did write that the puppy did not seem well and was very lethargic). I was also told that the puppy was 8 weeks old over the phone, and that he had a vet check-up the day before. I believe this to also be lies as my vet said the puppy was extremely sick and they doubted the "breeder" story. It seems that this person has no morals, no conscience and obviously NO regard for the animals it ships. I was told I could have a replacement pup from her next litter. Not in 10 lifetimes would I take another dog from her.

She should not be in business and my family and I are devastated by her total lack of professionalism and compassion. PLEASE, PLEASE, PLEASE do not purchase any dog from this horrible person. It looks like I will have to take her to court. I wish I would have read the numerous other complaints against her before involving myself and family with her. It's been nothing but grief and heartache and she should not be breeding ANYTHING, much less helpless animals.

Well, it has been exactly one week from the time our puppy died on Sat. June 7, 2008. We have gotten nowhere in regards to getting our money back. In fact, Sheila Rush and her managers have been extremely horrible to deal with, sending over her bogus contract and constantly stating that she has our signed contract and WILL NOT refund our money. She told us to fax over our vets letter only to find that said fax number would not go through. She then would not pick up the phone. Todd finally got to speak with Holly and she was quite horrible to him. I must stress that my husband is a very reasonable, fair, professional and decent man, and for him to come away from the conversation so upset is quite telling in the way Rush Kennel deals with their customers. I forgot to mention that when Marley, as we named him, was dying, I called the breeder and asked what I should do for my little guy. Lauren, from Rush Kennel said to be exact, "Oh, he just needs to be held and loved." I voiced my concern again about his health, and was told his brother and sister were doing well. I'd love to hear from the buyers of these Yorkies themselves to hear what they have to say, if they even exist. So, if you purchased a Yorkie pup form Rush and received her on or about June 7th, please contact me. Also, when I was speaking to Lauren, I told her that the pup smelled terrible-he was urinating upon himself. She told me that I could give him a warm bath, which I did. The poor pup was probably in shock at this point and that's when I wrapped him in a towel and grabbed my little girls and rushed to the vet's office. All within 1 hour of receiving the darling baby. Rest in Peace Marley. It does look like we will end up in court, so if anybody that was also ripped off by this woman and her staff would like to get together to see if we can make this a class action suit, please e-mail me at (((ROR redacted))) CLICK here to see why Rip-off Report, as a matter of policy, deleted either a phone number, link or e-mail address from this Report.
