Shellie Lyn Cadogan-Drinkwalter (aka: Shellie Cadogan, Shellie L. Drinkwalter, Shellie Drinkwalter) is a con artist, a liar and a thief.
Shellie belonged to an online support group for stepmoms. This group is tight-knit and we help each other out. Shellie Cadogan took advantage of that. Our group collected donations for a wedding present for one of our members and Shellie offered to be the person to collect the money for the group.
Shellie Cadogan collected the money from us via PayPal and Electronic Money Transfers, a total of $375. Instead of purchasing the item (paying off the remaining balance of a wedding band), she used the money for herself. When our group members finally found out that the item was never paid for, we asked Shellie for proof of payment.
That's when the lies began. It was one excuse after another of why there was no proof of payment to the jeweler. Lie after lie about what happened. To this date, she still has NOT provided any proof of payment, no receipt, no credit card statement, NOTHING! We have spoken to the jeweler and have proof from him in writing that Shellie never paid.
In addition, after investigating further, we found out that Shellie was arrested on 33 counts of fraud and theft, identity theft and violation of probation in London, Ontario. She was convicted and is still currently on probation. We have reported her to the RCMP. There are many, many, many people who have been hurt by Shellie's lies and manipulation.
Yes, we were scammed, that's on us. We considered her a trusted friend prior to this. Everyone needs to be warned about this woman as she is very good at what she does. Shellie sucks you in with her lies and then steals from you. She has a history of joining online support groups and then taking advantage of the members and stealing from them. She also runs a cupcake business out of her home and may try to scam people there as well. Shellie Cadogan has a long history of writing bad checks to pay for goods and services.
