Me and my father and an old friend of mine from Vegas named Leroy Pylant went inside the Shin Shin Home Supply Store located in S Tacoma Way, Lakewood, WA.
My friend Leroy is a African American and once we all stepped into the store, the helpful Korean ladies started to take a liking to Leroy for some odd reason.
Five minutes into the eye shopping sure enough the Korean employees were within 10-15 steps away and the same Korean employees kept harrasing my friend Leroy.
I thought I was thinking like a racist, so I conducted a small experiment for my own piece of mind. I dragged Leroy and myself towards the other side of the store and sure enough the same Korean employees couldn't wait to lend us a hand in helping us find the item we were seeking out.
Shin Shin Enterprises of Lakewood, WA is a anti-black, racist store. They will follow you like a degenerate poker player will chase you down the River card.

This comment is in response to an earlier report complaining of racism in a Korean store. The previous person mentioned that the employees were following them around the store, eager to help them find what they need, and made the assumption the Korean employees were only doing this because they are racist against his african-american friend. This is very Korean behavior. Korean employees are always within earshot incase the consumer has a question . It is a business tactic. Korean stores in Tacoma do this, Korean stores in KOREA do this. I am Korean and they follow me, help me all the time when I visit Shin Shin as well. Because a (for example) a black or white shopper isn't used to this, they assume they are being followed and blame it on racism. Businesses I feel shouldn't suffer unjustifiable reviews complaining of racisism when the complainer is ignorant of that particular culture, and who's views and opinions are also likely based on racism.

I am Korean-American and have shopped at Shin Shin Home Supply a couple of times. Both times, the employees followed me around and were overly helpful. Although there were seven to ten employees on the floor, I had the same three employees follow me around from one side of the store to the other.
It was a little intimidating and overwhelming, especially since I speak very little Korean, but I believe they are trained to do so. With so many unusual items for sale in a huge store, the employees probably want to make sure that there is someone readily available to answer questions. It is presumptuous and rather offensive to assume you and your friend were followed because of his race.

I am a white, blond, 5'9", german, 48 year old women, who is dressed in expensive clothes. They follow me around the store too, You IDIOTS. It is their culture. They are there to serve you. Maybe they thought your friend looked like he needed more help. They do the same in Germany and many other countries. Stop with the race card all the time. If you go into a place looking like a thug, you will be treated like one.
