Tell us has your experience with this business or person been good? What's this?
After 5 long and sickening months, Kent has "taken care of me"...let me tell you all how...I lost my business and website because it took 5 months to get my order (which should be here tomorrow) and have yet to receive a partial refund. I have begged for a full refund as I do not have a website or any way of selling all these flips he is finally sending me 5 months later - 388 pairs... So, Kent told me "I could double my money selling them on Ebay"!!!! Great customer service. He makes me sick.

He is so cavailier to the fact that he has cost me thousands of dollars, my business, my reputation in my home town, tons of emotions and over 400 emails. All I wanted was to start my little business and used these axxholes as my wholesale source because they told me "Igapost" was much more expensive and SFF had more product and faster and less expensive shipping!!!! Hello? Liars! I hope the BBB and the FBI shut them down. They do not deserve to scam anyone else. I will continue to report them all over the net so nobody else has to go through what I have. It has been pure h*ll.

A Scam? - Find Out The Truth About Shop Flip Flops Yourself

#4Consumer Comment

Mon, March 30, 2009

Contrary to the false claim of shopflipflops.com, which false claim they published under my rebuttal, my rebuttal is true. The editor of ripoffreport.com can have access to all the written documents I have to substantiate everything I have written in my rebuttal. Their attempt to discredit the consumer who was wronged by them, cannot hide the facts that they admitted themselves, namely, they confirmed to have received payment in fully on October 29, 2008 and did not deliver the goods up to March 2009 (in the case of Karla). That's a hell of time for a small biz owner! They have no idea of how much money she lost with her business during this almost 5 months and how bad it must have been for her reputation among her fellows! According to their published terms of services each order would be shipped within 3 to 7 business days. They admitted that they did not ship the goods until March 2009, and that despite the fact that their customer suffered from their dishonorable practice, they refused to give her back her money or deliver the goods. Deliver the goods means not talking about delivering them - action alone was required. Moreover they admitted publicly that they refused to give her back her money. But the worst of all is that they blame consumers with their own iniquity, an iniquity which is easily seen in the language and style they used in communicating with their customers by email. If she really received her money back, as they claim in their last post to this report, I don't know. To the consumer who might be interested to find out the truth, whether there is something with this ripoff report or not, I suggest to go to http://www.bbb.org, which is the Better Business Bureau. According to the BBB shopflipflops.com is registered in Miami, Florida, United States of America. At present, they gave them a rating "D", which is rank 11 out of 14. According to the opinion of the BBB this rating "D" means: "We have enough concerns about this company (for example, their offer, customer complaints, advertising, etc.) that we recommend caution in doing business with it. " The next lower rating at the BBB would be "D-" and it means: " We find nothing about this company that would serve as any recommendation to do business with it. Although something about its business principals or practices keeps it just above our lowest rating, it has far more negative than positive factors. We recommend extreme caution in doing business with it." According to this information, Shop Flip Flops is only a small step away from being rated as a what they seem to be to both, the consumer who filed this ripoff report and me, who both shared a similar experience with this scam-like looking company. It is a well known fact that only a small percentage of wronged counsumers actually make their cases known to others. There were 4 cases where shopflipflops.com settled disputes filed at the BBB by giving a full refund to the consumers, 8 cases where they finally had to deliver the goods, and this only within 36 months. How many consumers besides that did not file their complaint? Think for yourself! Another fact is that if you go and research on the google search engine, typing in "shopflipflops.com scam" you will find more than 800 search results displayed on google about people who were complaining about scam or rip off in connection with Shop Flip Flops. It might be interesting to learn what other search engines show. If you have not been a victim yourself, it is sometimes hard to understand whether a claim is true or not. In my case, I'm absolutely sure, for I had the same bad experience with shopflipflops.com, with "Alan", "Kent" and whosover might be involved there, as Karla had. If the case above has been settled or not, I cannot confirm at this time. It would be interesting to know what the consumer says, if it is settled, and if yes, if she was perfectly satisfied with the outcome and if she would be interested to enter future transactions with this company.:) I insist on the statement that my rebuttal is correct. I am glad to provide all the documents to the editor of ripoffreport.com, perhaps even filing my own case if necessary, and am not afraid to bring this to the attention of the attorney general. Have you ever imagine what a view thousand bucks means to small business and work at home professionals? Have you ever thought about if this same sad story happened to hundreds of other consumers? This could easily amount to millions of dollars, and, of course, that's not peanuts, but would be a huge scam. Though it is possible, that some bad guys might try to harm a business by spreading falsehood, it does not make any sense in this case. A company with hundreds of thousands of happy customers should demonstrate their ability of addressing consumer concerns in a manner that is acceptable and educated. Reading through the emails received from "Alan" or "Kent", one cannot hide the impression of having it to do with a business that dose not deserve that name. However, I speak from my own experience, and if I would find someone who could give evidence of how honorable this company is, I would be glad to revise my thoughts and to give an update that might help them to get on the right way. Accusing me of filing a false rebuttal and asking for removal of it is one thing, but don't forget that it took me more than 5 months since they've got my money and refused to pay it back to me, before I had decided that it is enough now, and that I would go after them. The fact of the matter is, that I can give written proof of what happened between shopflipflops.com and me, and I will stand before almighty God. If they were not a scam, what takes them so long to give the refund that I repeatedly requested? Why did they refuse to authorized the payment for the refund when my bank connected to their bank and told them about my request for a refund since they did not response to my concern up to now? It is clear, that even after 5 months, and after they having known that the only answer I would accept was an unconditonal 100% refund of my money, they should have given it back to me and not refused if they were not a scam. Their last refusal proves that they want to keep my money that they had no intention of giving me back my money which I had payed them for nothing. What else is this but a scam? Therefore, consumers, beware of scam. Check out the company before you send money to someone you don't know. Use the rich resources on the internet, such as www.ripoffreport.com, www.bbb.org, www.google.com, www.yahoo.com, www.msn.com as well as countless others, to educate yourself and your friends. Had I done this before, I would not have entered such an unfortunate transaction and this would have saved me up to $30,000 in money and I would have had more peace.

Confirmation of Your Ripoff Report Against Shop Flip Flops at Shopflipflops.com - I Had A Similar Experience.

#7Consumer Suggestion

Sat, March 28, 2009

I feel compassion with you. I had a similar experience during the same time as you. Last October 2008 I wired around the same amount of dollars to Shop Flip Flops to their bank account in New York City, New York, from where the money was forwarded to their offshore bank account in Panama. I have all documented and am considering to file a separate ripoff report myself. The initiative for placing my first order with www.flipshopshops.com came from themselves. They sent me an email introducing their new models of "havaianas" with the new wholesale prices. I filled out the order and shortly after I received a confirmation that my order was received and that they would process it after having received payment by bank wire. The full payment was made last October 2008 and it was confirmed by them that they had received the payment. Up to now I had not received my goods though full payment was confirmed by them more than 5 months ago. Compared to their terms of service where they promise all orders to be delivered within 3 to 7 businsess days from date of receipt of payment, it is in no way understandable how after 5 months they're still talking of sending the order in the "next days". I did not receive any shipment, order number, official confirmation of my order, notice of shipment or anything that could legitimate this company called "Shop Flip Flops" in any way. Requests for cancellation of the deal and requests for refund were ignored so far. Only today, I received a first email confirming that they are considering to giving me a refund. The only communication I experienced was of a minor quality reflecting the same non-sense as you had reported. Since 5 months I hear every then and now "...will be shipped to you in the coming days" just as a robot had written to me. I had requested a full refund last Christmas, then again in February, and last in March, but up to now, this company "Shop Flip Flops" had shown nothing trustworthy. The purpose of this response to your filed report is to encourage you and not be intimidated by the scrupulous machinations of these scammers. Yeah, they even accused me of fraud because I used the lawful means of requesting my bank to connect with their bank telling them that I did not receive the goods for which the payment was intended and asked my bank to help me getting my refund. The employee of shopflipflops.com accused me afterwards of fraud and crimes by requesting a refund and that because of that action they'll have to wait another 90 days until I could receive my refund. Just today I received an email from the same "Kent" that you mentioned in your report. After the 90 days, what would you expect to happen? The same game on and on So, take heart, for God will bless the faithful! At least you know now there are other people who suffered the same negative experience with Shop Flip Flops as you have and that they will not be allowed to continue in doing such scams to other innocent people. I want to use this opportunity to express a serious warning to all consumers in the world. If you're considering buying anything online, do first your research on the company. Don't be fooled by the psychological, subliminal and hypnotical techniques some marketers use only to make you buy something that you even don't know why you should buy it. A research can be done easily and quickly by entering an advanced search on google or on your preferred search engine. To do such an advanced search simply type "whois:shopflipflops.com" (or whatever the url of the company you'd like to research) into the search browser (the little box titled google, yahoo or msn, etc.) and see the results displayed on your webpage. Go throught the results and read some of them to learn more about the place where you are going to send your money! You might also type ripoffreport.com and enter the url of the company you wish to research in their search form. But be careful, for in my case I first typed the url shopflipflops.com and there were no results displayed in ripoffreport.com. Only after I typed in Shop Flip Flops I found that there was more than one ripoff report filed against Shop Flip Flops. In my case, the search results showed multiple complaints and 2 ripoff reports filed against Shop Flip Flops. Out of 147 search results there were quite a lot about scam complaints and ripoff-like remarks. After having read the above ripoff report it was instantly clear to me, that without a shadow of doubt the report filed was absolutely true. The same company, the same names, the same pattern, - it smells fishy! - I know it because exactly the same happened to me. Well, if this happened before, and is happening again, there seems to be some criminal energy at work, something which deserves to be investigated. So I found that it's enough now! Nobody wants to be scammed or ripped off. Therefore, we must join hands and make them pay for their wrong-doing and we shall not let them go unpunished! At least they must compensate us for the damages we suffered because of their wrong-doing. A suggestion to the editor and to the interested media would be to find out what the owner of the world class brand havaianas, a company with name "alpargate" in Brazil - a multi-billion dollar company - had to say that their brand was carried by a company such as "Shop Flip Flops" that had repeatedly violated the high ethical standards "alpargate" puts on their distributors and dealers. In this particular case as well as in an unknown number of others (Just have a look at the search results), "Shop Flip Flops" had failed to prove their conformity with such high standards and even their compatibility with such a world class brand. In Shop Flip Flops or www.shopflipflops.com there was no transparency, no integrity, no honesty and absolutely no trustworthiness to be found, as far is it comes to my experience and the experience of the dear woman who filed this ripoff report before me. That they finally try to brand their ripped off customers with their own iniquity is just the tip of the iceberg indicating some worse things in them at work. Or could you imagine anything worse than someone trying to blame you for their own faults or giving you the fault for their own wickedness? If there were satisfied customers of shopflipflops.com anywhere in the world who ordered from their same site and payed the money to their account in the United States of America, I would be very happy to know about it. I would also be happy to learn of other people who had similar problems with Shop Flip Flops, but whose cases have been solved to their fullest satisfaction. Please feel free to contact me at my blog http://www.searchmarketingtraffic.com and leave your comment with your link.

This report from Karla K is not correct. We will step by step explain in every detail what happened and why it happened and what we did to fix the problem. This customer has gone online and spread many false and liable comments regarding Shop Flip Flops. First let me introduce you to Shop Flip Flops , started in 2001 shop flip flops has expanded from a small mail order store with about 500 customers to a multi-international corporation with offices/warehouses in 4 continents, over 154,000 completed orders, tens of thousands of repeat customers annually and over 600 wholesale customers. We strive to make everyone surprised at our speed of shipment, quality of goods, and range of products available online for same day shipment in most cases. This complaint started on Sept, 2nd, 2008 with the customer Karla contacting us to place a wholesale order of sandals. We had sent her the details and she replied with an initial order on Sept, 15th, 2008. We contacted her to confirm the order and she said Hi Alan. I am very impressed with your spread sheet and am upping my order and will be using only your company...so thank you. On Sept, 19th, 2008 she emailed us back stating that she HAD made the payment for the order and that we can start the process. Sep, 20th, 2008 Karla stated The wire will go out on Monday. I was too late with my request on Friday. I will check with you on Monday to see that you got it. We checked and still no wire was received Monday, a week went by and Friday afternoon she replied to us I have been on vacation, no cell service in the middle of a lake, on my way home now. Will get this done in the morning first thing. . That Monday morning Sept, 29,2008 after we asked if there was any trace as we were concerned about the where about of the wire she said: Due to the current market implosion, my wire has been delayed...I will let you know the moment I know of something. Later that day Karla said The wire was never sent and all wires we were expecting have been put on hold until tomorrow when my husband gets there to sign papers, etc. October, 2, 2008 she emailed us to tell us: I have had a wire sent to me, it should post tomorrow October, 3rd, 2008 we received this email Hi Alan, I was told that a wire went out to you today for $5500.00 We waited everyday and checked the bank and had already got the sandals to ship to the USA for her but never got a reply. October, 8th, 2008 we received this email from Karla: OK, but you got the tracking # or whatever # it was that I sent? This was an international wire, so that may be the delay. I know that it has not bounced back, and that it was sent Friday?? Hamm... We then called the bank again multiple times every day and still nothing. Swift bank wires take a max of 48 hours to go through. You can trace them as we started and paid $35 each time to trace (6 times) and never got a reply as the payment was never sent. October, 10th, 2008 we stated we still didn't get the wire and that they should check it again and her partner stated Will do. Banks are closed Monday due to Columbus Day Holiday. I will make certain you have the funds Tuesday, pending our bank's finding/tracing. October 13th, 2008 came and Karla emailed and said this I have to be able to call "Mary" who is handling the transaction from a trust account in Seattle. She is not available until tomorrow October, 16th, 2008 arrived and we were emailing Karla about this lost bank wire and were not getting any replies. She reply this date with the following Have not had access for 2 days. It is coming - Tom is taking care of it, not me. Thanks for your continued patience. October, 18th, 2008 she emailed again after days of not replying to our emails stating: Hi Alan...we are finally OK...what is better and faster - a credit card that we have NO problem with or a wire from me (so there would be no problem) ? We stated we could take credit card or bank wire and they decided to go with bank wire. October, 22nd, 2008 she again emailed us with the following: Hi Alan. I personally sent the wire about an hour ago. Please let us know when it hits and when my order can ship We had told her at this point that we had had her order picked for over 1 month and that we have put it back in stock and that when the payment does arrive we will start the picking process again and update her with the shipment timeframe and details. She continued to say the following to us: So sorry to have been so much trouble. This was never our intent. We would love to move forward with you for years to come October 27th, 2008 almost one week later after emailing her many time and looking again for the wire it did not show up and she sent us this email: the wire was for $5230.00 not 5500 as we expected. On October, 29th, 2008 we received a bank wire for 5235 not the 5500 as she had said and which would have paid for the total with shipping. From this date through Nov, 25th, 2008 we picked and package and waited for the entire order to be ready to ship however due to the delay in payment some items were sold and not available anymore. Alan (no longer a shop flip flops employee) had put the order in and waited for the total stock to arrive to make the shipment. Dec, 13th, 2008 Jessica and Kent got involved in a settlement to get this order shipped and received. Karla started threatening legal action . After the items being on order and not showing up to us we decided to ship the items to Texas USA and arrange for a refund or exchange for the items not in stock. Jan, 5th, 2009 we shipped the items to Texas USA for reshipping to Karla. The items arrived around Jan, 13th, 2009. Jan, 13th, 2009 Kent (new shop flip flops employee) then contacted Karla to arrange shipment. Since this date the shipment and the refund have been ready to be shipped but Karla had said that she wanted to sue shop flip flops and settle this in court. We contacted our lawyers and they said to have her lawyers contact them to start the process. All orders and refunds were on hold. Until March, 3rd, 2008 she intended to process this order through court and we told her that at anytime we would ship and refund the remaining items. On March, 3rd, 2009 she agreed to accept the merchandise and refund as we offered all this time and she said: she is happy this is over and that she would remove any complaints she has left online , ON HER WORD. That same day she started creating false accusations about shop flip flops and we even found out that one of our competitors and her have been in talks. We have the emails she sent and received (she forwarded them to us) and they show a small group of people that have not even ordered from us or done any business with us stating false and liable comments about shop flip flops. We DID ship the items the SAME DAY we stated using ups and Karla has received the items. We paid for signature on each of the many boxes (388 pairs) and the refund is processed. This is the only incident like this in our company's history. We have had some delays which were the direct fault of shop flip flops and Alan(past employee) which are and have been taken care of but we have NEVER scammed, stolen, or not refunded ANYONE. We have stated this many times and continue to explain that Shop Flip Flops wants to know of any delayed orders or non shipped items. You can contact us directly at shop flip flops anytime and we will reply URGENTLY. We have over 103,000 happy customers and look forward to helping and serving the online flip-flop community for many years going forward. Shop Flip Flops Management
