Shop & save is possibly being bought out by county market. located in Springfield Illinois I was caught taking some alcohol from a store and the security gaurds took me to the back and wrote up a report that i had to sign.
I was then reported to an attorney called micheal ira asen located in new york, he wrote me a letter demanding money for the incident. note that the police was never called and the store never pressed any fromal charges. so this attorney is not correct for demading money.

So you get caught shoplifting and think that you are being scammed...Ummm why don't you think about that for a minute.
You "had" to sign a document? No you didn't have to sign it, you could have refused and they would have called the police. Which is EXACTLY why you signed it, you didn't want the police involved. Depending on what you signed you may have admitted to the theft, and depending on the local laws may be able to treat this as a civil matter and hold you liable.
Before you write this letter off. I would highly suggest you contact an attorney in your area, explain your situation and show them the letter. They can advise you of the action to take. However, since this is not a criminal matter, you are going to have to end up paying for the attorney yourself.
Good Luck
