ALISON ROTH of SHRINKWRAP is a con artist!  She uses her therapist and marketing credentials to claim that she is qualified to offer coaching services that lead to therapist branding and collaborative website design.

Alison is intelligent, articulate and convincing.  As her other victim stated, "She talks a good game."  Alison makes an appealing offer: coaching sessions that help therapists create their "brand," which then leads to the devlopment of a website that accurately reflects the therapist's unique talents and qualifications, thereby directing more web traffic and potential clients to the site.  She uses well established coaching tools, questionnaires she has devised to help therapists articulate their "raison d'etre" and identify their "ideal client" population, as well as a project managment website with a picture of a "website designer" who is supposedly handling the techinical end of the process, and a PayPal account to legitimize her scam.

Initially her coaching sessions are engaging.  However, it soon becomes clear that something is off: she is late to sessions, she is not prepared, she "accidentally" gets the time wrong.  When Alison is "on her game" she is actually insightful and helpful; however, there is a definite limit to what she has to offer.  As time goes on the "questionnaires" and coaching sessions become more convoluted and bizarre.  Then, suddenly:poof!  Alison disappears.  She does not return emails, texts, or calls, and her website disappears as well.  As the other victim said, "she wastes your time and money."  She has no intention of delivering on her promises.

Alison uses charm and cunning to manipulate therapists where they are most vulnerable: the desire to have a thriving practice and work with clients who are a good fit.  Do not fall for her slick talk and promises!  If you have been an unwitting victim of her scams you can contact your bank or PayPal and ask them to dispute the charges, as she is a scam artist who does not deliver on the promised services.  Alison is committing fraud; therefore, I plan to report her to the FBI and to the Board of Behavioral Sciences since she is using her psychotherapy license to deceive and exploit people.
