Sidesocket is deploying very unethical practices when ordering over their internet site.  I would strongly advise ordering by phone only...After you place your order they offer a few additional up-sale product which I did not want.  Once I reached the order and the site took my CC info they asked me to submit without allowing me to review my bill prior. 

What I thought was going to be a $28 bill came back as a$90 bill.  I tried to go back and correct my order, but the site did not allow it!  This is absolutely unthinkable in an ethical company.  I tried all day to cancel my order by call the toll-free number and noboby could locate my order and asked I try again in the morning.

I have worked in the field of direct response TV and if we review the client's website and saw this infraction, we would not do business with them and put them on a warning list for other telemarketers to review.  This  is a bate and switch and highly unethical...If you can't live without the Side Socket call in your order and have them read back your charges prior to processing your card and avoid the run-around I'm being subjected too!!

I just saw the commercial on TV and was thinking about ordering, but found this great website recently and decided to check here first.

I, too, purchased what I thought would be 2 side-sockets (BOGO), knowing that I would have to pay the $7.95/ea for s/h.  As I maneuvered through the website, I was offered to upgrade to the surge protector for $10/each.  I decided I would do that, knowing I'd owe $30.00 plus s/h.  At the end I found I was charged $88.80 and was unable to review my order before submitting it.  To say the least, I was livid.  I made the purchase on a Saturday afternoon and the company was open only M-F, so I couldn't speak with anyone.  I planned on calling Monday to fuss and fume and cancel the order.  Unfortunately, I got tied up with work and totally forgot aout it until after they closed and was unable to call on Tuesday.  

I did call just a little while ago and spoke with a woman by the name of "Barbara" (I think).  She was wonderful.  I was ready to lite into her but there was no reason.  I explained to her why I was calling.  She looked my order up, said they showed I had orderd 4.  I told her that I had planned to order only the 2 (BOGO), with an upgrade to the surge protector for an additional $10/each.  I then went on to say their ordering system needed major revamping to allow cusomers to review the order; that I was unable to go back into the website to see where I may have misread their promotions because the site requires me to enter all my cc information again, and would then charge me.  She was extremely helpful, apologized for the confusion and made the adjustment on my account which put if from $89.00 to $44.00ish, including the s/h.  She told me my items had already shipped and when I told her I would return one of the sets, she told me not to, to keep it. 

I was very impressed with her response.  Actually kind of deflated, because I was ready to give her down-in-the-country.  As it turns out, I'm now paying basically $10/each for the items which I believe will be well worth it.

I realize this response is a little too supportive of the company.  I want it to be known that I have no affiliation with the company or anyone who works for them.  I'm looking forward to the acutal product and will post my thoughts once I've used it.

My suggestion to anyone who has a complaint - give them a call, explain what happened, and I think you'll be pleasantly surprised.
